My husband and I booked a Ski and Stay package here on a Monday night in early February. We booked a double lodge room, knowing we were literally in the room to sleep before a day of snowboarding. We arrived late to the lodge (7:30ish) and definitely did not expect to find what we did. The photos of the room... More

As you walk into the lodge you feel the warmth of the place. The staff is wonderful and charming. Not much has changed since it's fist built back in the 30's..? There are NO phones in the rooms and no TV either, not even in the Foyer. This was a great because I could relax without any distractions. Just a... More

Banff/Lake Louise offers a wide range of accommodations. Older mountain lodges are quaint, rooted in by-gone days when 4 season lodging was neither popular nor practical. Gone are the days when visitors huddled round the fire to stay alive. Still, at Deer Lodge in very cold weather you sense the danger that lies outdoors: Even the creaking of old floors... More

This hotel has a very good location, just behind the Fairmont Chataeu, 3 minute walk to the shore of the Lake. The Hotel "squeeks" slightly, going up the stairs etc. Rooms small, but comfy. More

Extremely disappointed when we walked into the room and there was not even space for us and our 2 night luggage. No TV, no coffee, not even a table. Absolutely horrible. More

We stayed at the Deer Lodge for 1 night in December. Deer Lodge is part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Resort group, a group of quality boutique lodges in the Canadian Rockies. On arrival, we recieved a friendly welcome and an upgraded room. The room was quiet and quite large, with quality natural furnishings and a small balcony. The lodge... More

What made us pick this was the roof-top hot tub. Very enjoyable. The Deer Lodge has good and free Wi-Fi. (Don't stay in a hotel without free wi-fi.) The economic rooms have a bed. Not much floor space that we could detect, but there was a bed. But if you out skiing all day, what else do you need? We... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend. It is up past the village of Lake Louise right close to the Chateau and lake. The hotel from the outside with all the snow was really pretty and looked charming for quite an old building. The reception area is pretty old but cute. They have kept the hotel true to its... More

The rooms are small, but comfortable. The lodge has a nice historic feel to it. We especially enjoyed the rooftop hot tub!!! The views from the tub are stunning!!!! More

Okay, so our room was small and overheated. But there were comfortable lounges for reading or chatting, and a roof-top hot-tub --not to be missed!--for a relaxation with a view. We had come for a birthday weekend, and the restaurant proved to be a perfect venue for a celebration, with great food, good service and an unhurried vibe. We've visited... More
