This beautiful old farm is situated in a small rural farming hamlet, about 10 minutes drive from Saverne, and 25 minutes from Strasbourg. I was a bit concerned as I couldn't find any reviews on the property when I booked it, but my gut feeling from the web site was good, and on arrival we weren't disapointed. Sophie, the owner was very helpful (be aware she doesn't speak English), her breakfasts were amazing, home made yogurts, home made fruit juices (which were divine), fresh fruit from the farm, meats, cheeses, home made jams (a fantastic selection), fresh breads, and kugelhopf. She has just 3 rooms, which are across the court yard from the main farm building, umbrellas are provided, should you need to cross for breakfast on a rainy day. Our room was huge, with comfy beds, crisp linen, desk area, comfy chairs, outside balcony, and modern contempory bathroom. The rear window looked across the fields, with horses and chickens. We only stayed two nights, but felt really relaxed. It's a good base to use if visiting Strasbourg (use the tram and park and ride, which is clean, and excellent value for money), and it is close to the Alsace wine route. Amazing value for money, highly recommended!!…
