Puebla is one of the most beautiful colonial cities in the Americas, and the IXX Century mansion that houses the San Leonardo, located a short walk from the main plaza is not only a good hotel, it marvelously reflects the colonial character of its time and the city. Great service. Rooms are ample but they need decor and appointments. By... More

I stayed at this hotel with a group. It was not our initial choice but as it was a holiday weekend there were only a few options. The lobby is beautiful and gives a very colonial feel. The rooms are very plain, I was somewhat disappointed as I was expecting something with more character given the photos online and the... More

I got stolen 400 euros plus my wallet containing other currencies, they were both in my luggage and the manager does not even apologizes and says that there is anything to do since the money and wallet were not reported immediately, please do not trust this hotel, having reported that immediately would mean, to suspect ao an ilegal action, I... We stayed at this hote on a medical mission. the lobby is quite nice, and the Puebla plaza is quite close, as is a lot of other shopping. The rooms are motel 6 at best, with the sandpaper towels, flat pillows, out of date TVs, and very unpredictable plumbing. The breakfast buffet is included, but the food is usually old... More

The hotel has a great location and staff is helpful. Be careful what type of room you get....they have some rooms with NO WINDOWS....really feels "boxed in". NO ramps.....so forget about wheelchair or baby carriage All and all, if you are alone or with someone else, it´s a good choice.

The foyer of this hotel near the Zocalo gives the impression you are entering a grand, old colonial hotel. Well, savour the entranceway because that is the best thing about this overpriced hotel. The front desk staff are friendly and volunteer to speak English if your Spanish seems shaky. You then are sent to the world's tiniest elevator, forced to... More

I booked this hotel based on it's website - it had beautiful photos and seemed to be a lovely hotel. This actually turned out to be the worst place we stayed in a month-long trip throughout Mexico. I don't like writing lots of negative things, but I have to be honest about my experience at San Leonardo. The building itself... More

The hotel is in the historical center, 2 minutes walk from the Zocalo so the location is excellent. There are restaurants and other shops around which is great. The service was good. The room was really small but clean and had everything you need. It was really quiet, we sleep well so I do recommend this hotel if you don't... More

My husband and I spent the weekend in Puebla at the Hotel San Leonardo after a week working in Mexico City. As with all the hotels I've picked using Trip Advisor, it was superb. The staff was friendly and able to help us with all our needs (we are pretty self contained) and not intrusive. We have limited Spanish skills... More
