I purchased a group on to stay at the Basico in Playa del Carmen. This was a great stay for my husband and my friends. Our room was beautiful, large and spacious. We requested a ocean view room so we could see the skyline. The service was good and very friendly . I would recommend this hotel to a friend. More

I must admit that is the most fun/strange/modern hotel if you going to Riviera Maya. Also it is a block from the beach. But if you want to sleep get a room away from the pool area and the noise at night. The service was great, friendly and attentive. More

This hotel makes you feel that you're in Miami. Great location and centrally located. The seafood ceviche at the rooftop bar is definitely worth getting. However, it can be a bit noisy since it is centrally located. If you're looking for a trendy interesting place in playa del carmen this is it! More

Based on the reviews below, I can't beleive peoples' expectations of hotels. This hotel is amazing from a design perspective. It's beautifully appointed and a joy to look at and stay at. I think as Playa Del Carmen grows closer to becoming another Cancun, it invites boring, unimaginative Americans who belong elsewhere rather than an ultra hip and interesting hotel.... More
