This was the second trip to Isla for my girlfriend and I. We fell in love with the island during our first visit, and stayed at the Avalon Reef Club. We wanted a different (and cheaper... not that Avalon is expensive) experience this time, and the centrally located Bucaneros certainly fit the bill. You are literally right there on the... More

we ended up staying here for 2 nights after a terrible experience at another hotel. Felt like luxury . Nice place, clean, and comfortable. a bit noisy on Hildalgo, but convenient. when we originally were looking for places, this site and many other hotels said Booked. when we arrived in Isla, the weather had turned bad, and it seemed that... Third time to Isla, first time staying at Bucaneros. Centrally located and clean. Pleasant staff. Continental breakfast is very basic, provided each day and I never ate there. Had room 204. Anything above the first floor would be a hike for anyone with stair problems. Reasonably priced.

Several times to the island and first time at this hotel. I would go back tomorrow. Staff was awesome, so nice and polite. The guys at dinner are awesome. Food is cheap and pretty good. I felt we had to eat at the restaurant below the hotel at least once due to the good service. I did ask for chips... More

This hotel has a great location - walking distance to all the food, drink, beaches, etc that you could want. Our room was extremely small (103) but was kept clean. I think all rooms are supposed to have a "mini-bar" or small fridge, but ours didn't have enough room to have one. Not even a chair. It includes a breakfast:... More

Stayed 6 nights recently- Paid about $75 USD per night for triple occupancy. The Good: Yes, like everyone else says, it is clean. Could not be more centrally located on Hidalgo St. Maid service prompt. Price is right. The Bad: No pool, no room service, no frills, no extras, little character. The "continental breakfast" was VERY spartan with only toast,... More

Hotel is located in the center of town . clean, comfortable, and reasonable price. Service is good and friendly.. All things good except for neighborhood dog who starts barking at the butt crack of dawn.

The hotel is located in the mere heart of the eclectic and active downtown in Isla Mujeres and yet a perfect place to rest, also at a very short walking distance from the Playa Norte (the most beautiful beach on the island). A very basic place to just rest, take a shower and a continental breakfast the next morning. The... More
