Thank you for your accurate words. Our building is in fact unique and has a very interesting history. Originally, it hosted the “Portal de Mercaderes” back in 1529. Later it became the “Centro Mercantil”, a place where high-society families and very distinguished gentlemen usually went for shopping. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The building is amazing, a time warp but in a good way. Wonderful Tiffany ceiling and detailed Art Nouveau design. As soon as you walk in you will be impressed. Look up and 4 stories above the entire ceiling is stained glass. Rooms are spacious. Staff speaks english and are very helpful. You wont be disappointed staying here More

Just 1/2 block from Mexico City's Zocalo (central plaza), the location of the hotel couldn't be better. The hotel decor is art nouveau with a BEAUTIFUL and huge stained glass lobby ceiling.
