Even though the hotel is a bit old it is nice, a lot of green areas, threes and plants, walkways, fountains and pools. A place to relax in the evenings, have a drink al fresco or a good breakfast under a huge three. The rooms are big and comfortable. The hotel used to be a symbol of Mexican hospitality (all of them, not just Guadalajara). Today it's pretty run down and somewhat standard. Most of the rooms here are very quiet and restful, although those that are close to either Av. Vallarta or Av. Lazaro Cardenas can be noisy. So get one that looks out over the central lawn area. We stayed four nights and had no problems with our room. Breakfast and meals, beverages were excellent. Staff at Maria Bonita restaurant-bar were excellent! (Carlos). the hotel location its ok , but the building its outdated. needs remodeling in its bathrooms (mirrors, and windows ) the hotel needs to change the towels( they look from 1970) all tear up. the service people all around were very nice and and work very well.
