We stopped here for lunch on the way to Cambridge. Lunch was lovely, home made soup.Real ale and Rugby so the boys were happy!! The decor is tired and in need of a refurb, but the welcome was warm and the young guy behind the bar was very friendly and chatty. A nice pit stop, Would visit again.

The room was disappointing: it looked like a flashback to the 1970s, and could certainly do with refurbishment. Lovely welcoming staff - couldnt help enough. Meal was fantastic- great going considering there were 28 of us for a 70th birthday party. Positive - Location great for Longstowe Hall, wedding venue and Wimpole Hall, Natural Trust, bedding appeared clean. Less than positive - Puzzled about definition of word 'hotel'? We stopped for lunch 2 indifferent sandwiches, mine the bread was dry and curled, 1 tonic water 1 orange juice £14-30. The young guy who served us never engaged with us never smiled in fact could hardly be bothered to speak, he was the same with everyone there so we were not special !!
