Has been renovated twice in the last few years but for some reason still feels dated. I think it's primarily because the staff/management couldn't bother about upkeep and maintenance. Certain areas of the common areas and rooms show age and wear/tear. That's to be expected somewhat, but they rest on their laurels as being one of the only decent convention... More

Stayed here with my wife on hilton honors points. Newly renovated room with luxury style amenities and a balcony overlooking the savannah was nice. Visited the Executive lounge on the 6th floor and was well treated by the host, Alicia. Breakfast at the pool terrace was adequate with an omelete station. Standout at this hotel is the excellent landscaping and... More

Hotel is ideally located, just off the savannah. Has been part refurbished and rooms are comfortable and clean. Shower is disappointing with intermittent hot water. Strong smell of sewage along one corridor close to my daughters' room. Staff generally helpful and courteous but my meal arrived an hour after everyone else's yesterday. Nice pool and great views from the top... More

This is a very pretty hotel with a terrific view of Port of Spain. It is built on a very steep hill, and it is interesting how the architect pieced together several buildings with concrete, glass and beautiful wood, to make this a design you won't soon forget. The room I was in was very well appointed and clean. The... More

Being a frequent guest of the Hilton Trinidad, I get to know many staff members and they get to know me. My favorite meal is the breakfast buffet in the Pool Terrace Restaurant. Maurecia, Donna and the breakfast staff take great care of guests each morning. They greet you with a smile and follow up to ensure that your experience... More

The Hilton and Hyatt are about the two "high end" chain hotels on Trinidad. I prefer the Hilton location as it's not right in the heart of the city and easier to drive around to places. You will not find a Four Seasons or Ritz here so expect that the Hilton is catering to the upper end for food, events... More

Stayed at this nice Hilton property Jan 2-7, 2012. A few negative first: 1. The Executive Lounge was closed until 8 Jan. No notice of this was provided prior to arrival. To compensate a full, rather than continental breakfast, was offered. However my conference room rate already included a full breakfast. A few days later, I discovered drink coupons were... More

I have stayed at this hotel on and off for a couple of years, and think it is the best hotel in Port of Spain. The location is great, as is the pool and pool area. In fact this is the best pool in Trinidad, with a 10 foot deep end. Staff is helpful and polite, and the new gym... More

Ridiculously expensive hotel and not much in return. They charge over $50 for a crummy buffet. They tout a few things as being complimentary (like the tennis courts) but in the end they have hidden fees for everything. Not even internet is free. If you stay here, you'll be trapped on a steep hill, so unless you've brought hiking boots,... More

They held 2 parties on the night of 12/26/2011 and the noise was unbearable. There were also people running up and down the corridor and shouting. The room on the 6th floor that I stayed in was medium at best. They will never see me again. More
