Have stayed here quite a few times over the past twenty years and i can honestly say it is one of the best in St Lucia. Henry and Roger make it a holiday to remember, they can't do enough for you and always with a smile. Lovely big rooms, with stunning views from the all of them....the birds will take... More

Never written one of these before, and I guess the tough part about being helpful is recognizing that everyone has a different idea of what an ideal vacation looks like. I’ll try to explain why Henry’s La Panache exceeded that vision for me and my boyfriend. The guesthouses are tucked away on a lush hillside that is beautifully maintained by... More

Having returned to holiday destinations before now, theres always a doubt as to whether you can reproduce the holiday of a lifetime by staying in the same place. Having returned from La Panache last week I can happily confirm paradise just gets better. Being welcomed back by Henry was like visiting family. The guest house develops on each return but... More

I stayed in the studio apartment called Sonya, and it was just wonderful. The room is cosy and it has a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and, best of all, a nice balcony with a beautiful view where you can watch amazing Caribbean sunsets. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there's free internet available. If... More

La Panache is in a great situation if you don't mind walking a bit and like living amongst the locals, rather than the tourists. We have done a lot of backpacking but never before in the Carribean. It worked out fine, the buses were very cheap and easy to use, although we were advised to use taxis at night. La... More

This small guesthouse is a real gem. Close enough to walk to Rodney Bay Marina and yet very secluded and private - just a few ghekkos and humming birds to interrupt the stunning view of the bay and mountains from your verandah. A real taste and feel of the Caribbean. Roger and Henry and the rest of their team are... More

Having stayed all over the Caribbean on numerous occassions I wanted to experience the 'real' St Lucia. I definately found that at Henry's La Panache. The guesthouse is set amounst glorious views and vegetation in a friendly, local atmosphere. The room was spacious and comfortable with all necessities catered for. We were really made to feel at home and be... More

My fiancee and I recently spent a week at Henry's La Panache guesthouse in Gros Islet. We paid a very reasonable $40/day (low season, weekly rate) for a nice furnished two-bedroom apartment, with fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and a lovely balcony with a great view over Gros Islet. No aircon (just fans), hot showers or a swimming pool, but for... More

We stayed elsewhere, but thankfully someone recommended Henry's cooking. Once a week or so they put together a wonderful Carribean meal. Very casual and fun. A great find.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
We are 20 minutes drive from Castries and 90 minutes from Hewanorra airport. We have three self-contained self-catering units for holiday rentals. We are part of the Cas en Bas Road community which is a mix of locals, tourists and residents with holiday homes. We are a 5 minute (400 meter walk) down to the Castries highway and frequent buses to Rodney Bay and Castries. There’s a small supermarket and a bank at the junction and 2 larger supermarkets on the way to Rodney Bay. There are all styles of eating, drinking and party establishments in Gros Islet and Rodney Bay. Gros Islet Beach is a 20 minutes walk, Reduit Beach a short bus ride and the Atlantic beaches a 30 minutes walk. Beausejour Cricket Ground is 2 km away, Rodney Bay Marina a 15 minutes walk. We have two studio apartments and one two-bedroom apartment. Each is quite separate and has its own entrance and balcony with great views. In addition we have a reception lounge. We no longer have a bar or restaurant but there are many within a short distance. However we can put breakfast ‘kits’ into rooms for US$5/person for arriving guests. The kitchen area has a three burner gas stove, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, coffee-maker and toaster and the usual pots, pans, utensils and cutlery. Each unit has a shower with hot water, wash basin and toilet. Fixtures and fittings are simple but rooms are comfortable and clean. They are cooled by powerful fans (but of course guests arriving from a cold winter will take a day or two to adjust). The two studios also have air-conditioning. Electricity is 220 volts; we have adapters but cannot for safety reasons provide 110v transformers (except for small electronic items). Rooms are changed and cleaned twice weekly; guests wishing a daily service will pay a 10% service charge. We can wash clothes for you, US$4/load.There is 24 hour, free wireless internet access in the reception area. A computer is also available in the reception area. The apartments have wired and wireless internet access. We have a small car park for guests who rent a vehicle. To suit the driving conditions in Saint Lucia, we recommend that guests rent small cars or short wheel base jeeps. ... more   less
