We were pleasantly surprised by Casa de Tortuga. Our casita was clean, spacious, had a lovely duvet cover on the bed, and had all the basics like air conditioning, kitchenette, wireless internet (although we had to get close to the office for the wireless internet to work). Matt was really helpful - giving us a map and helping us find... More

If you are a relaxed traveler, visit Vieques and stay at Casa de Tortuga. If you want an expensive and fancy resort, go elsewhere. If you like the layed back lifestyle, definitely go the Vieques and book a room at Casa de Tortuga. We stayed five nights in December 2011 and found it perfect. The rates are reasonable, our room... This was an excellent place to stay for our vacation. The people that ran the place were very nice and always willing to help us with anything. It was close to the beach (a short walk away), and the rooms were very nice. You can hear roosters crowing at night, but we got used to that quickly, and the roosters... More

Before meeting my group for a cruise out of San Juan, I wanted to see the Bio Bay on Vieques. Since I was by myself I looked for a property in close walking distance to the beaches and the malecon. I chose Casa de Tortuga because it had kitchens, a pool, and was only a block to the main street... More

I stayed at Casa Tortuga, in one of the casitas with my friend during the first week of May 2011. I have chosen this place after a LOT of research, on every website and forum that I found about Vieques. I am so glad I chose Tortuga, staying there definitely made my first visit onto the island into a perfect... More

We spent a nice long weekend at Casa de Tortuga. The manager was very pleasant and gave us tips as to where to go and eat. (My friend and I are people of color and we didn’t feel any discrimination, unlike a previous reviewer reported). The inn has a small but clean pool, which the manager cleans everyday. The board... Stayed there three nights in June with my wife. Great location half a block from the Malecon with its restaurants, and beach. Felt completely safe in property and in our nightly walk to eat at one of the restaurants on the Malecon. Room was very clean, everything worked good, fridge, AC. etc. There is no room service, but they will... More

My husband and I recently stayed here for 2 nights. This was our second time on the island and in Esperanza. We thought we would try this place out because it had a pool and was in a decent location. The owner Matt is not too friendly or helpful. He keeps to himself. It is odd because there is no... More

I stayed here with a group of friends on April 2011 and the experience was just wonderful. Matt, one of the owners was really helpful and flexible with the group. Me and my fiancee stayed at one of the Casitas which was wonderful, the rest of my friends stayed at the Yacht Club and at Skipper's Cove. All of the... More

First off the location of this hotel is right where all the activities are at. You can pretty much walk to every bar and restaurant worth visiting. Also there is a mini mart where you can buy needed supplies right around the corner which is open daily till 6pm. The hotel manager was super helpful and was full of information.... More
