On a return visit to Beau Rive and Dominica, I was anxious to see if my good memories of the past would still remain. I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is now complete, the two garden cottages being finished. The garden has matured, the view is as stunning as ever, and the hotel itself welcoming and comfortable. I was delighted to... more

I booked Beau Rive because I had read all the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor and they were so right! What a perfect place to relax and enjoy the Garden of Eden atmosphere of Dominica. Mark really is the perfect host - charming, helpful and informative and so keen for you to enjoy your stay. His tips really did help... more

The staff was incredibly friendly and qualified. The food (local) was fantastic and the room was big, clean and very comfortable. The location is superb. I was there for 14 days. Beau Rive has the perfect mix of comfort and seclusion: a location where you can relax. Highly recommended. more

We stayed for four nights at Beau Rive and really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely with a beautiful view. The food was brilliant and the homemade yogurt was really special! Also, I loved the coconut bread! Mark was helpful giving us ideas about where to go and what to see, things we may have missed without his help.... more

Beautiful setting, beautiful place. We felt like we were stepping back in time. The owner, Mark, told us that he designed Beau Rive to feel like an old colonial home. We highly recommend splurging at least once on the hotel's 3-course nightly dinner. The ingredients are the freshest they can be and I don't think we've had a better meal... more

Beau Rive lives up to to its rave reviews. If there is a better view from any hotel in Dominica I haven't seen it. Mark Steele is a perfect host and has a terrific staff. The food is local and fabulous. Millicent and Florence (the dogs) do guide you to the beach. Rooms are spacious and cooled by the trade... more

Mark provides an elegant, simple environment to enjoy Dominica's amazing natural beauty. Missing dinner is simply a sin. Most ingredients come from the garden, and every meal is a culinary experience. Mark goes out of his way to direct his guests to fun filled challenging adventures. My wife and I are coming back! One of the last truly authentic hideaways left in the Carribean. The tangibles -- view, room, food and service -- are the best on the island, but it's the intangibles that set Beau Rive apart. Mark Steele, the owner/operator, does this for love, not money, and that's evident in everything from the great music he chooses at cocktail hour and... more
