Others have complimented and accurately described the accommodations and amenities, but there is more: Yes, this must be the best lodging in Joshua Tree. But pick the whole place up and drop it in any of the world’s premier vacation spots and it would be the same. The Innkeepers have created a very special place with artistic vision and attention... We called a month ago and they had a cancellation and opening for a weekend visit. Still a wonderful experience. Great food. Rooms that are cozy and warm, but my favorite is still the outside spas with a window you can look out on to the desert at night and platform beds outside with mattresses, blankets and pillows for snuggling... Everything about Sacred Sands is perfect--it is an oasis of luxury that is all the more beautiful in contrast to the harsh landscape that surrounds it! This was our second stay and it was just as perfect as our first stay. A few of the many things that we love about Sacred Sands: - Rooms are beautifully appointed, with lots... More

My wife and I Stayed with Scott and Steve for two nights last week. They were the perfect hosts..unobtrusive and totally accomodating. The rooms were sublime and the setting spectacular. Delicious al fresco breakfasts; and the dinner recommendation (they said it was good people-watching..it was!) was great fun. They know the area and 'the park' inside out and we're more... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights here recently and it surpassed our expectations (even after reading all these great reviews!) Everything is beautifully decorated from the rooms to the "great room" to the private stone patio to the cute sitting areas in the outside common area. Looking out from your private patio, all you see is desert. You feel... More

My husband and I read the reviews and had high expectations. Our experience exceeded every expectation. Scott and Steve are very gracious and accommodating. The vegetarian breakfast was delicious, as well as, artistic in its presentation. The little touches around the inn were unique and luxurious. The location has wonderful views and is very close to the entrance of the... More

Stayed here a few weeks ago. The place has fantastic zen and is one of the best places I have stayed. Scott and Steve did delicious and unique breakfasts both days, enough to keep us going well into the afternoon. They are very friendly and have interesting books, art and decorations in the very cosy breakfast space. The room was... More

My wife was questioning my choice of Sacred Sands until we rounded the corner and entered the grounds. At that point, all she said was 'this is awesome'! The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are definitely 'zen'. The location is perfect, just a mile from Joshua Tree and pretty much accessible to everything the area has to offer. Scott... More

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Scott and Steve and the Sacred Sands deserve it. Scott and Steve care about Joshua Tree. They care about you. They care about thier role as Inn Keepers. The result is a top notch experience for you. We stayed here for two nights in Dec 2012. Scott and Steve provided us... More

wow. we have been to numerous BnBs.... Sacred Sands BY FAR is the ULTIMATE. If it were in the middle of nowhere, literally, I would STILL recommend it. The fact that it sits one mile from the entrance to the beautiful & uncommon Joshua Tree National Park makes it a perfect destination. The rate was more than we are used... More
