Small, basic cabins with clean, comfortable beds, small bath, TV, small fridge and a heater. It is not fancy but has what you need to be comfortable. We stayed one night before hiking into the Grand Canyon. I would highly recommend staying here as long as you know ahead of time that it is what it is.

We stayed here in last week of April. If anyone wants to stay at the heart of south rim, this is the best place to stay. It is excellent lodge with all the amenities. Since it was in village we did not expect much facilities but were totally amazed to see 3 star hotel like amenities when we landed here.... More

We were lucky enough to get a booking here at the last minute, on a May weekday. This lodge is situated a very short (and very easy) walk back from the canyon rim, which means it is away from the bustle of people around the rim trail. We stayed in the north lodge. The room was very comfortable, equipped with... More

I spent two nights in the Grand Canyon, South Rim at the Maswik Lodge in a cabin. It was difficult to find, but it was quaint, cozy and had nice amenities...a TV, two double beds, a small desk, luggage rack, refrigerator, coffee, tea, wonderful shampoo, conditioner, hand cream and body wash soap....I enjoyed it immensely, the only problem the second... well, it's always a good idea to stay in-the-park when you visit grand canyon. Maswik lodge is one of the cheapest option, but still really nice place to stay. They have dining options in walking distance. You can take park shuttle and visit all points of interest in the national park.

I was worried about this hotel but was happy with it for what it is-one of the only choices at the Canyon. Great staff to help you decide which room is best (stay upstairs). Away from the South rim, which gives it its own special feel. Noisy heaters, but bathrooms are super clean and mine was beautifully tiled and there... More

Our family of four stayed at Maswik Lodge as part of a package with the Grand Canyon Railway. Our unit was a little hard to find, but the room was quite comfortable. We appreciated the short walk to the Rim and easy access to the transfer point for two of the Canyon bus routes. The staff was very accommodating and... More

We arrived at the Maswik Lodge after a train ride from Williams. We found our room comfortable and a close walk/shuttle ride to the rim. The cafeteria was adequate but we found the best food at the Arizona room at Bright Angel Lodge We wanted to try a restaurant at El Tovar but for some reason you were not permitted... More

We stayed in Juniper block in Maswick North which was nowhere near as basic as previous reviews had led us to believe. It was large and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the forest and the railway. Wildlife such as Elk wandered trough the area, just ignoring the humans. The room at heating/air con, we needed both modes while we were... More

Our family of 4 (kids aged 13 and 8 years) stayed here for a couple of nights. The Lodge and rooms were pretty much as we expected (comfortable but basic). What you are paying for is the location as it is just a short walk to the South Rim. There are closer properties to the edge of the canyon such... More
