Not sure why, but I'd rather stay in a small old leaky log cabin than in a (for example) large newer hotel near a national park boundary. Our cabin was small but clean and functional. The dining room at the lodge was spectacular. We were there to hike and see the scenery, so the on-site cabin was perfect. Also appreciated... More

We loved this cabin. We tried very hard to get a rim view, but to no avail. Our cabin was large-- two queen beds, table and two chairs, desk with another chair, fireplace, good size bathroom, and a cute little porch with two rocking chairs. The cabin was very clean. We ate dinner in the main dining room (make reservations... More

A very rustic lodge with own mousetraps! Great location and perfectly adequate accom with no requirement for aircon. The main lodge has a really great view!!! And the restaurant is pretty good too. Book early to avoid disappointment and enjoy the experience. It's not 21 st century but that adds to the charm More

We have booked (6 months in advance!!!) the last available log cabin situated approximately across the Visitor Center, which was very clean and comfortable (taking into account the serious efforts that Forever Resorts that is running the location makes, in order to provide electricity (brought from Utah!), running water (in an almost desert region!) and an efficient administration (handling hundreds... We are a family of five and stayed in a western cabin. (The youngest had to sleep in a rollaway.) We were quite comfortable. We are used to squeezing into hotel rooms so this cabin was fine for us. We really enjoyed our time outside of our cabin. We pulled extra chairs onto the porch to sit and enjoy the... More

The lodge at North Rim is out of the way, but well worth the drive. Wonderful views of the canyon, mule rides and hikes are all available here. Food at the lodge is excellent and cabin accommodations are a rustic dream and very comfortable. We appreciated the attention to "green" and sustainable living at the north rim. Our cabin included... The Grand Canyon Lodge North Rim is a good resort situated in an outstanding location. Our family of four stayed in the Pioneer Cabins. The cabins were rustic but clean. The center bathroom was small and the rooms were cozy; more lounging and seating options would have been nice. Dining at the main restaurant in the evenings was pricey and... More

Don't hesitate, go there. Stayed in a log cabin in the woods which took you straight back to the Thirties except for the modern conveniences of fridge and shower and comfortable beds. Chipmunks and squirrels scamper over the roof and around the cabin - a totally captivating experience for a foreign visitor. The lodge itself is impressive. There's no competition... More

I stayed here overnight as the halfway point for my rim2rim2rim hike. Since i was solo I went for the motel room, which is the cheapest accommodation. Check-in staff (Mike) was very friendly and courteous. The western cabins with the porch out front look pretty nice and if I was going back with someone I would go for those. The... More

For our grand canyon trip, we really wanted to stay somewhere that felt like it fit the rugged character of our trip, (but without really roughing it....) This fit the bill. It's definitely not the typical type of accommodation I'd choose, as I tend to choose more upscale places, but for this trip, it really was just right. It had... More
