The Hostel is built with a very great Deli and Bakery attached. There is a small dinner also across the street. The staff when I stayed was very nice. They were only there for the season. They were Lithuanian. They made a great sandwich and Muffins. The rooms are what you would expect. Very private in General. There is coin... More

During a Motorcycle trip over Labor Day weekend, my wife and I used Brownies for a conveinent place to get some fast food item's and coffee in the mornings. We did not stay there but stayed a block or so from Brownies at East-Glacier Motel & Cabins. We ordered a Homemade Pizza one night that I would not recommend, it... More

I hadn't tried a hostel for the past 25 years (thought I'd grown out of it, and that it was only for college kids). I'm now 50 years old. While recently looking for affordable accomodations near Glacier National Park, an acquaintance recommended Brownies Hostel. I have now stayed there on 3 separate occasions, and I definitely plan to stay there... More

This is a must stop, if you are in the East Glacier area. The baked goods, coffee, and sandwiches are all outstanding. We try to stop everytime we pass by (which isn't often enough). The cinammon rolls are huge and delicous. The breakfast sandwich is also outstanding.

Did I hear this correctly, that Brownie's was originally a brothel for workers building the Glacier National Park Lodge just down the street? What a history. Seriously, the place has a good bohemian vibe going on with a good number as traveling souls stooping in for extended stays. The fact that Glacier Village shops use a lot of hard-working summer... I purchased a huckleberry bear claw for my father when passing through East Glacier. It was a bit pricy (I’m recalling $4-5 dollars). Unfortunately, he didn’t eat it until later in the day. Had we still been in East Glacier, I definitely would have stopped back for more…it was DELICIOUS!!

We did not stay at the hostel but camped at two medicine. We paid $5 each for a hot unlimited shower. I was never so happy to pay $10 for water before! There is also a laundry here so we washed/dried clothes while showering, ate an ice cream next door. Showers were clean and private and HOT water!!

I stayed at the Brownies Hostel for several nights and really enjoyed my stay there. Staff is really great and helpful! It's also very easy to get to know people in the hostel. The common area is spacious, there is a kitchen with lots of utensils and even an outdoor patio! It's quite noisy as the walls are very thin,... More

We travel all over - stopped here to pick up sandwiches that we ate in the park. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious BUT the Huckleberry Grizzly Paws were AHMAZING. I am a baker myself and these were light not over sweet and so good. What a nice treat while breathing that clean mountain air! Stop and pick some up... More

I stayed with my infant daughter, my teenage son and my brother. We stayed in a room with two twin beds. We also rented a mattress (futon) for the floor. It served the purpose! Everything was nice and cozy!
