We stayed at this cabin/campgound resort many years ago in a tent cabin (on a shoe string budget) There was enough room for the family. We didn't spend much time in the tent cabin anyway. The showers weren't far, not a problem using them. It was not far from the park; we enjoyed our stay at this resort. I would... More

I must say as a local resident of AK, this is an awesome relaxing cabin you want to be. They did a good job & to compare the prices with hotels in the canyon, this place is worth the pay. If you want to experience interior Alaska - this is the place to be!! Far away from the busy tourist... More

We were shuttled here because our reserved accommodations were not available because their water pump broke, The view from the balcony was beautiful. The room had an odd smell from the cleaning products used. We asked to be moved to another location after one night. They do not have a restaurant and transportation is less convenient if you do not... More

Rustic but very nice. It is what i expected in Alaska. Did not have the busy activity of a large lodge or hotel.Had a great vantage point above the NeNanna River. Units are not huge but you don't go to Denali to sit in your cabin. Nice porch to sit and have coffee or a cocktail while watching the river.... More

We called to see if they had bar b ques before we left Anchorage. They said " yes we do". Fire wood could also be bought to cook. So we didn't buy a portable bar b que to bring with us. When we arrived the bar b ques looked like they have never been cleaned in years. The grates of... More

We are not a camping family, but staying in these cabins gives you a sense of camping without all the sacrifices. The cabins are clean and are located close to the entrance of Denali National Park. If you want that camping experience near Denali without having an RV or tent and without having to walk to a public shower and... More

We have stayed at the Grizzly cabins at this compound before and they were nice but small and kind of crowded together. This time we stayed at the new Cedar Hotel and were very impressed. The room was large, the beds comfortable. the bathroom nice with good water pressure, but-the best thing was the view! Each room has a little... More

A three week long vacation anywhere can be expensive. And Alaska is more expensive than many expect. Food and gas cost more, and lodging may be more costly, and less plush than one is accustomed to. That said, Grizzly Bear provided a nice night's rest. We were traveling by car, not RV, and we were not prepared for any camping.... More

I stayed in these cabins the night before a venture into Denali Park for a night camping at Wonder Lake. Being from Fairbanks I know it's hard to find a place to stay anywhere near the park during tourist season that you don't have to sell some of your children to finance. I rented the Mushers Cabin, and some friends... More

I was on a budget and looking for an alternative to camping in the park (which was full). The Healy Chamber of Commerce directed me to the Grizzly Bear, just 6 miles south of the park entrance. I booked tent cabin #4 which was a wood frame w/ a canvas tent over it plus a metal roof. Also it had... More
