My wife I stayed at the Coach House for a weekend, we received a warm welcome on arrival and the room was clean and comfortable. We had two dinners and one lunch in the restaurant and the food was of an unexpectedly high standard. The atmosphere in the lounge was great with friendly staff serving good wine & beer. The... More

My party checked into the Coach House last Saturday afternoon at about 5pm after completing a 4.5 hour hike on a beautifully sunny but cold November day. We were asked to pay up front before we were even shown to our rooms - something which I have never encountered before in a guesthouse or B& B but I paid up... More

We lost our way in the Wicklow hills, it was getting late and we started to get anxious, we drove into Roundwood and our first sight was the Old Coach House, we hadnt booked but had a warm Irish welcome, the rate for b+b was very good value, we enjoyed the 'walkers breakfast' before a day in the mountains.

Stayed there is March this year for 1 week as we were visiting my daughter and family. The room was ok but not very clean I had to wash the shower myself because it was filthy. Breakfast was like a comedy show. We asked for cerials, they had none and so they sent someone to the shop to buy some.... More

We had dinner in the restaurant / bar only. We did not stay overnight. Slight mistake when the servicing the food. Unfortunately, the meat & plate were cold & plate, which is a pity becuase the food was good. Food expensive though €25 for medallions of beef, restaurant prices but not restaurant quality at this price. The estabhlishment itself is... More

We found this spot on our way from Glendalough to Powerscourt, right across from a recommended restaurant (Roundwood Inn- which is definitely worth a visit. ) The Coachhouse also has a large bar and restaurant, which had sparse patrons since our visit was in September. The B&B rooms have their own wing, but some open on the roof of the... More

This is a nice old building, lovingly restored and quite a value for the money. The owners are delightful and helpful. There are several restaurants in the immediate vicinity and the owner cooks a nightly meal, if reserved in advance. The only disadvantage is that it is right on the main road. The double paned windows help with the noise,... More
