The only complaint about our stay at Lough Bishop House is "it was just too short". The natural beauty of the location instantly made us feel relaxed and the warm and pleasant welcom from both Helen and Christopher Kelly quickly made us feel at home. During our stay we were made to feel part of the family enjoying healthy and... More

Charming location, house and host! We stayed here the 2nd & 3rd nights of our trip- unfortunately for the rest of the places we stayed- as nothing compared to Lough Bishop. More

After staying in the gamut of accommodations (from Hilton to "guesthouse" to authentic B&B) we had had a chance to sample the possibilities before we arrived. After traversing narrow, windy, rural... We stayed at this B&B in late October 2005. The B&B is the upper storey of a completed renovated and modernized 18th century manor house. (Ask to see the photos of the renovation.) Our room overlooked the sheep and horse pastures. The farm is operating, and has chickens, Irish draught horses (prize-winning), and lots of sheep! The personable owners, Helen... More
