Very comfortable BnB. Clean room and house and comfortable all round. The breakfast was great with freshly baked bread and scones every morning. Rosemary is very kind and helpful. Lovely walks on the old coach road with views of sunset on the one side and sunrise on the other.

A lovely B and B to use as a home base to explore County Cavan. Unfortunately it was raining during our stay but the area is gorgeous, just the same. Rosemary made us most welcome with tea and cakes when we arrived out of the rain. The room was perfect in every way! Spacious and immaculate. The bathroom as well was very roomy and well stocked with toiletries. Lots of hot water for a morning shower. Lots of towels, which is always appreciated. The beds were very comfortable and the surrounding area is quiet, which makes for a great night's sleep. Located not too far out of town, another plus. Breakfast was all that anyone could ask for and Rosemary is a wonderful hostess. In short, I would recommend The Rock Equestrian Bed and Breakfast wholeheartedly. And I hope to get back some day in better weather.

Great B & B with plenty of parking, wifi, and TV in your room. There is also a guest lounge if you want to sit and watch TV with friends. All spotlessly clean and a super comfy bed. Cup of tea and biscuits on arrival were very welcomed.

After a terrible trip out to Ireland with all the delays this was an absolute haven. Bad communication/mix up on my part for the arrival times as we were very late (sorry again Rose). Rose could not do enough for us, the bedrooms/beds were all super comfy, and the size of the rooms were huge. The views out of the windows are beautiful countryside all around. Breakfast was again fabulous, with loads of choice, and a good old full Irish fry before heading to our wedding at midday. The only bad part I can say is that we had to leave...like I say fabulous from start to end. Thanks again for making our stay fantastic...and if I'm ever anywhere nearby again I'll be right back to stop again.

House quiet Lovely breakfast and guests may use the dining room during their stay - Kettle, a selection of teas and coffees, bread, butter, toaster, microwave, etc. available for guests' use. Lovely home baking. Dogs, horses and a donkey on site, for anyone who loves animals! A lovely stay. If I'm back in the area, would love to stay again.

Rosemary and Trevor are the most welcoming, warm hosts you could ask for. I can't wait for a chance to get back there. The house is decorated with fun knickknacks, and comfortable chairs. Rosemary has fitted the guest sitting room with tea and coffee service, and plenty of large tables to spread your travel maps out so you can plan your next day. Our room looked out over the horse paddock area and the view was gorgeous. The horses would come up to the fence to check you out. The breakfasts were excellently prepared, and served. The coffee was fresh and hot and a variety of teas available. The McGuigan's were very helpful with directions. Both Trevor and Rosemary were very knowledgeable about the area of Carrickmacross and Bailieborough. I was able to arrange a riding session with Susan, who put up with my years of not riding with aplomb and patience. The Rock offers horse holidays, lessons, boarding, and sales, so anyone interested in an Irish horse riding holiday should check out this B & B. This was our first stop for our trip to Ireland, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience to kick off our adventures.

ROCK EQUESTRIAN FARM- BAILIEBOROUGH, COUNTY CAVAN, IRELAND Located on a road halfway between Bailieborough and Virginia. We had a warm welcome by Rosemary McGuigan to her family’s working equestrian farm. Large rooms with good comfortable beds and an outstanding breakfast. Recommended.

Stayed here on a Good Friday in order to attend a party in nearby Bailieborough. And being a Good Friday in Ireland, the local taxis weren't running, so the landlady, Rosemary McGuigan very kindly offered to drive us to the venue of the party, and then offered to collect us at whatever time we wanted. So, lo and behold this great woman came and collected us at 2:00am. Next morning we had a great breakfast before heading on our way. The room was spotless and the friendliness of Rosemary and her family was infectious. The views from our bedroom window over the rolling hills of Cavan were wonderful. We left with smiles on our faces as we knew we'd definitely be back in the coming months.

Had a great couple nights in this lovely spot. The owners are very hospitable and the breakfast is terrific. The room was spotless and very comfortable. If you are interested in horses then you are in luck, we took a short walk around the farm and it was also very well kept and the horses well looked after.
