Stayed here whilst providing support for some friends completing the Coast 2 Coast cycle challenge. Would wholeheartedly recommend this as a stopping off point for anyone completing the C2C ride. They even provide bike storage. Good breakfast and good clean accommodation. Thank you Hazel.

If you are planning to do Coast to Coast then I could think of no where better of breaking up your journey! Hazel was really accomodating and went the extra mile! I enjoyed a two-night stay at the Fossil Tree while competing in a canicross event at nearby Hamsterley Forest. Very comfortable bed, warm and quiet room, hot shower, wifi, somewhere to put my bike out of the rain and parking just outside - fulfilled all my needs.
