We stayed in the three bedroom villa two nights. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Barbara made us feel right at home in her "Quiet Jungle!" The whole ambiance is peaceful and soothing. She stocked the fridge with snacks and breakfast foods that were really appreciated. Anything you needed she supplied wholeheartedly. My daughter's favorite retreat was the secluded... More

Casa Picaflores cleaned my soul and purify my mind. Excellent place to be in peace and harmony with nature. Barbara simply a spectacular lady with much wisdom. The villa very clean and with complimentary bottle of wine, water, fruits and cheese. Even their dogs besides being African Mastiff impressive are quiet and friendly. The natural pool is ideal for reading... More

Where to begin.....we absolutely loved this place and Barbara! We stayed two nights in the 3 bedroom Villa and it was more than adequate for a family of 4 (parents and 2 girls, 15 & 12). It was a pleasant surprise to have snacks and wine and beer upon our arrival after traveling all day! The grounds are just beautiful... More

We stayed at the adorable "casita" surrounded by beautifully maintained plants. The natural pool is excellent. We took a hike guided by Robin, a local guy who takes people through the national forest. To clarify, breakfast is not offered and is definitely not lavish or "made to order" as described elsewhere on this page. There is a mini fridge in... More

If you're looking for a great place to stay, this is it - forty minutes from the airport. We'd been all over the island, and this was our last destination, it made a lovely finale. Barbara's directions to get to the property were easy to follow, there is an electric gate to get in and out, we were given a... More

Getting to this place was fun, some narrow roads and everything was green. We pulled up in the afternoon and Barb was standing out front to welcome us. We unloaded and did a little walk around to see the pool and waterfall. Barb told us of a couple places that had food on up the mountain so we went to... More

What a find! Arrived in the darkness and thought it was closed but made to feel very welcome after ringing the long bell and met by Babs Tidy, stylish bedroom with balcony, fridge, coffee maker Outside shower which was cool! Uncomfy bed though as it was a blow up mattress Great breakfast, home cooking, organic, natural, fresh fruit from the... More

After a conference in San Juan, my boyfriend and I wanted to get out of the city for a little vacation time. We found Casa Picaflores online, it looked amazing, and the reality was even better! It is part B&B, part ecolodge. The accomodations are very clean and comfortable, while still feeling almost like camping. We stayed in La Cabana... More
