We spent three nights at Araras and loved the place. We loved its beauty , the calm, the most friendly hotel staff, the nicely prepared and tasty meals, the ecologically correct atmosphere of the place. We saw a tremendous amount of very colourful and impressive birds, and some interesting mamals such as capivara and monkeys. The guide was very competent... More

I loved this eco-lodge. The accommodations are basic and rustic but perfectly clean and sufficient - if you want 5-star accommodation ... stay in Rio! The owners and staff at Posada Araras were wonderfully helpful and friendly. Very informative. The guides were excellent and really knowledgeable about the local flora & fauna. The food was excellent - some of the... More

Visitied Araras Ecolodge in Pantanal for 4 nights during my single trip around Brasil. I must admit I have only heard about Pantanal in eco and science classes and have never paid actual attention to it. Now after visiting I must say that Pantanat is the "IT" place for all nature admirers, photographers or simple those who want to explore... More

We spent five days at the eco lodge with our daughter and it was a brilliant perfect end to our trip back to Brazil where I was born and have not been back to for 40 years. The lodge rooms were very comfortable each with its en suite and verandah and hammock at the front. The setting is just amazing... More

We went to Pantanal to experience nature and in the hope of seeing wild animals in an environment totally different from what we have at home. We were aware of the possibility of rain, hot weather and mosquitos. The experience lived up to the expectations (but it did not rain). Based on earlier reviews we expected moderate standard, and was... More

I wanted to go the Patanals so booked this-it was expensive-even more than the Amazon lodges. The food was good but it took a while for the guiding to show a bit of enthusiasm-when he did we all enjoyed it. It wasn't as remote as I thought with the only road in the Patanal being 500m away. Maybe one day... More

We had a most enjoyable time at Araras Lodge and cannot speak too highly of the welcome we received, although it is an ECO lodge the comfort of the rooms was excellent, the food and wine were very good and served buffet style with plenty of options. Breakfast was served outside and we were visited by many birds, including a... More

We stayed at Araras Eco Lodge in January 2013. This is considered off-season as the high-season are between june and october. Nevertheless we had a great time at the lodge. The excursions were made early in the morning and the afternoon. Mid-day is siesta time, which is a time for peace and a welcome break from the hectic every day... More

We had a great time here. The hotel is very much an eco lodge and very comfortable. Small but nice rooms with private bathrooms. Staff was very nice, especially the managers. On our second afternoon we watched for monkeys at the observation tower while the sun set . One of the managers came to introduce herself by surprising us with... More

The Araras Lodge has an amazing bind with the Pantanal… it is a real adventure. The experience of being there for some days looked perfect… everything has a eco-friendly history to tell. We felt at home and being hosted with full care. But be prepared for insects, even that the lodge and its rooms have protection, you will be most... More
