We stayed at the Intercontinental for three nights prior to our Paul Gaugin Cruise and we were very dissappointed from the start. When we arrived at 11:30 at night we were told that the Over the water bungalow we paid for was ruined because of swells and that we were given a room with a panoramic view instead. So dissappointed... More

The Intercontinental was a bit of a let down after all the hype I read. The rooms were very old and worn out. The service was also not very good. We only stayed for one night as a stop over on the way back from Bora Bora. I would recommend the Manava over this resort if you're tossing between the... More

We stayed two nights here on our way to Bora Bora. Beautiful room and attractive grounds, very convenient to airport. Join the Intercontinental Hotels group rewards program (free) before booking your reservation and get a free room upgrade. Our lagoon view room upgraded to ocean view was lovely. Rooms include a refrigerator and safe and very large bathroom. the linens... More

We had planned to stay at this hotel for a few nights at the end of a 28 day Oceania Cruise but decided to get off the ship early in Moorea and loved the island property so much that we stayed longer. We took the high speed fairy into Papyette late in the afternoon and arrived at the hotel in... More

This hotel has a very nice view of Tahiti and the staffs were very nice to the guests. The room itself was very spacious but the furniture inside the room was kind of old and paints start peeling off. Since we didn't have a car to get around thus we have to eat our lunch buffet in the hotel restaurant.... More

Tahiti itself should not be overlooked. We spent three nights on our way to spending ten in Bora Bora an 11 in Moorea. We would like to have stayed longer. The IC in Faa'a (Papeete) is a beautiful hotel with great people and decent food as( Polynesian food goes) but its a beautiful hotel with three great pools, your own... More

The hotel appears to be quite nice. We stayed for a day only in the beginning and end of our Polynesia cruise. My toilet seat was cracked and required a washcloth to cover it so as not to pinch your bottom. The grounds are beautiful. Drinks at the lobby bar are outrageous in price. A glass of wine was $20.00.... More

We spent 3 wonderful nights in this hotel and enjoyed every second. The outlook from everywhere is breathtaking. The pool was great for lengths. As expected food was relatively expensive but their Lotus restaurant is amazing in terms of quality food and service--and almost worth every franc! The staff were very helpful with any query and the tour operations within... More

If your in transit this is a pretty good close to the airport location and likewise if you are content to just hang out at your resort. For a bit of local flavour downtown Papeete is a better bet particularly if your trip includes a stay at one of the other islands like Bora Bora where resort living is the... More

Dear Guest: Greetings from Intercontinental Tahiti ! Thank you for your review and your comments relative to your last stay at our Tahiti Resort. In reference to the airport transfers, please note that local regulations do not allowed hotels in Tahiti to operate their own transfers. However there are two options. The first one is to take a taxi when... More

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a trip to French Polynesia. We booked a Paul Gauguin cruise package with three days on the front end at the InterContinental Resort, Tahiti, before starting the seven day cruise. We were so glad we had this extra time to decompress from the hectic pace of preparing to leave home and jobs,... More
