This is a very charming hotel in Tallberg. The hotel is from the last century, and the time stand still - every thing is very charming. If you want to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature this is a very good choice.

I would recommend this place to anyone visiting this part of Sweden. Definitely a place which shouldn't be missed! Actually I have only eaten here during a lunch buffet, food and service are of an excellent quality, tipical local cuisine. Spectacular view of the lakes and landscapes, marvellous garden were you can enjoy your stay. Will go back any time.
This hotel has been run by the Akerblads family for 20+ generations!! It is really very special in a "special part of Sweden"! The hotel is spread out over quite a bit of property and rooms are in various out buildings a well as a larger main building with an old and a new part. We were in an outer...

Arrived at dinner time - nobody at reception, no bell or internal phone around, waiters in the restaurant declared that hotel is none of their business, finally found somebody who scared the receptionist out of his well locked back office behind the reception desk.
Room very simple but clean and OK.
Breakfast: nice buffet and very good, wonderful terrace towards...

Stumbled upon Tällberg during a midsummer excursion in the heartland of solstice-Sweden. What a great place, with a 'geo-ambience' (imho) of a St. Tropez & Mölle. Our hotel had fun rooms, great staff, and a nice collection of facilities (each with its own cozy flair).
If you're headed to Dalarna to partake of the midsummer experience, then this hotel (and...

We stayed here on the special midsummer's package, complete with all the celebratory activities in the ideal Swedish folk village of Tallberg as well as those in the surrounding villages of Leksland, Rattavik and Siljansnas. Perfect place to celebrate all the maypole raisings and folk celebrations. Pricey with food in the restaurant as fresh but average. Staff very friendly and...

This hotel was charming: very old, and owned by the youngest of several generations of the same family. The setting, above Lake Silja, in the midst of hills and forest, is lovely. I was there before full summer season, which I enjoyed, because the area was quiet and serene. (I understand that it is very filled with Swedish and international...

A lovely piece of Swedish traditional architecture with appropriate cutesy intrerior decor - all cosy and comfortable and clean. Generally it has fantastic service, though when I was there the restaurant staff struggled to keep up at dinner time. Our room was lovely (small, but big enough for a large bed and a decent bathroom - what more do you...

a nice hotel, but try to get a bigger room, most are really tiny and a bit worn out. the mini sutis are not real suits, maybe 28-20 m2. old fashion bathrooms, so get a room in a new part. best is suite nr 69, bit more expensive, but worth it. kitchen is fantastic. views moderate.
Åkerblads is a very nice, old-fashioned looking, hotel in a beautiful area of Sweden. The staff here is very friendly and service minded and the food served in the restaurant is excellent. A "romantic" weekend here does cost quite a bit of money, but it's worth it all. Spend the afternoon in the pool or jacuzzi or enjoy the tea...
