Everytime we leave Carrig House, we are already planning our return trip. My boyfriend and I have stayed with Maurice and Shirley several times in recent years, and have only recently returned home from a wonderful January break that, as always, exceeded expectations. Every encounter at Carrig House is always perfect; each guest is treated like a new friend, and... More

The radio ads would have you believe the highest bar in Ireland is pub somewhere in the hills north of Dublin. That's not true at all. The highest bar in Ireland is the one being set by Maurice and Shirley Glennon in the little village of Liscannor just south of the Cliffs of Moher. There must have been something in... More

The Carraig House epitomizes the perfect B&B experience – a warm and welcoming atmosphere with great service and comfortable rooms. Maurice welcomed us into his home with open arms and a genuine smile. Although the bathrooms are small, the bright, open rooms definitely make up for this slight downfall. Also, each room has a spectacular view of either the River... More

Our family stayed here 2 nights on a recent trip, and the accommodations were excellent and our hosts gracious. They serve the best breakfast we had in Ireland, and Shirley kept bringing out extra dishes even as we were full to bursting, while Maurice regaled us with details about the local area. The rooms were impeccably clean and homey, and... More

My wife and I arrived at Carrig House on Easter afternoon and were warmly greeted by Morris and Jack (one of their two Jack Russel terriers). Our room was clean and spacious, with a very nice bathroom and a balcony overlooking the freshly mowed front lawn and Liscannor Bay in the distance. Shirley offered us tea and sandwiches and a... My destination was the Cliffs of Moher. Lehinch, Liscannor and Doolin are nearby towns offering places to stay. I had no reservation. Saw so many Bed & Breakfast facilities on the main road. Following the signs for Carrig House, I made my first stop there. I was greeted by Shirely. She showed me the room and offered a reasonable room... More

From the very beginning of our 3 day stay we felt incredibly well taken care of in all respects. The breakfast is elaborate and worthy of a grand hotel, the host and his very friendly wife would ask you time and again if you are satisfied or if they can do something else for you. The lounge was nicely decorated... More

We stayed one night, without reservation. We arrived late in the evening and we were warmly welcomed by the owner. The room was nice and clean. Good sleep without a noise, and the car was in the private parking of the guesthouse. We had a very huge irish breakfast in the morning and nice talk with the owners, who gave... More

We stayed 2 nights at Carrig House and were very comfortable. Shirley and Maurice were great hosts and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Our room was light and airy with great views. Beds were comfortable and the peace and quiet ensured a good night's sleep. The breakfasts were the best we had in Ireland. The... More
