Our B&B (Chambre d’Hotes de La Batellerie) situated on the bank of Dordogne river was a large old house, restored by the present owners Eric and Thida a year ago. It is a two-story mansion with 4 rooms. The rooms are huge. Our "room" on the second floor was actually a suite with two bedrooms and a bathroom. Main room... More

We stumbled across this "palace" by accident, don't be put off by the entrance from the car park. It opens up into a restored wonderland of how the wealthy used to live in the 1700's. Beautifully restored and furnished, our 2nd floor bedrom was a joy in loft conversions, very well done and a king size bed as well. The... More

Eric and Thida is an excellent couple, running a fantastic B & B there. We enjoy so much during our stay there. 1. Breakfast: You can't imagine how Eric fulfill our needs for our local food during long business trip in France; he went to supermarket to find materials to cook the porridge for us and even dim-sum in the... Hi , we stayed at la Batellerie in July 2012 and I can't recommend it highly enough. We travelled with two children one of thirteen and one of four . It was so beautifully done out and everything a family could wish for was taken into consideration. In our case a big bonus with having a four yr old was... More

This is really a small boutique hotel without a reception desk. The location on the Dordogne River is unique. The building is a well renovated 1750 "in town" Chateau with large rooms and private bathrooms. The french owner is a former New York chef and restaurateur. Consequently the all organic breakfast is french and fantastic. The location is good if... More

I stayed here for four nights in May 2012 and would recommend it for anyone who likes somewhere special. Overlooking the Dordogne River it is uniquely placed for a special holiday. The heated indoor pool was great and the breakfast was superb. The owners went to great lengths to make our stay special.
