Stayed in this hotel with a tour. Location of the hotel was far from town but it has a nice view of the sea. It also had a chapel for wedding ceremony. My room was nice with a good view of the bay. Not much in English and no gym that I could find. They do have access to the Onsen in the hotel, which was a nice after a long flight.

Definitely a party hotel. Our requests for a non-smoking room was ignored. Our smokers' room was a mismatch of upholstery styles, color, and stains. A poor reflection on the hotel to even rent a room in such a condition. We immediately brought the room's condition to the staff, and to their credit, our room was immediately upgraded to a lovely... This large hotel is not near the center of town. My room was big enough but had dirty carpet and upholstery. The hotel was packed with vacationing Japanese in Beppu for the spas. My stay was during the weekend and it was noisy - from both visitors and outside traffic. Air conditioning was not adequate. We had a nice dinner... More
