We have a new spot for vacations now. Nature at it's best in San Carlos Beach Panama. The Manglar Lodge is great. The rooms are large and modern, very clean, and the bed & pillows were so comfortable. They have a restaurant and the food was so good and great service and presentation. The grounds were nature at its best.... More

The hotel is more like a bed a d breakfast with only 4 rooms. Our king room with a balcony overlooking the grounds was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant/bar was good and inexpensive We can't say enough about Ivan and Omar the two managers. They were so friendly and accommodating. They also spoke good English. Their service was excellent as... More

There's no pool at this place but its steps from a nice beach with a good beginner surf beach break. It seems the nicest place in town, even though the one next door has a pool and he others are on the beach. Lots of surf and boogie board rental and lesson options nearby. I would stay here again and... More

Wanted to find somewhere quiet and personal for a really special, romantic weekend. The hotel was all I could wish for. The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the garden and seating area. The lodge restaurant / bar had a comfortable feel and the outside eating area was a perfect romantic setting to eat or just talk Set in... More

Clean as home, you can walk barefoot around the hotel. Food as we cook at home too. Visited so many hotels around the country and this is the only one we will go back again and again. Hotel website photos are very misleading but not Manglar Lodge. You get what you see.Ivan and his cats are very friendly! The only thing... More

We had stayed in a B & B in El Valle for four nights without A/C and screens (we loved it!) and finished our trip at Ivan's lovely lodge. Upon arrival (we were able to check in two hours early) Ivan, the owner, ran upstairs to get the A/C going (it was appreciated and understandably so to turn it off... More

We were looking for a place not too far from Panama City but on the beach and also something a little quieter than a large hotel. Manglar Lodge fit the bill. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was close to a really nice beach. The rooms had a small balcony which was nice ; and the food served... More

We spent a week here and had a great experience. The food is probably the best to be found in San Carlos or even Coronado and reasonably priced. The beach is a short walk away and the grounds are beautiful. The staff is very helpful. The rooms are nice and spacious and have a balcony. We would definitely stay here... More

Our stay at the Manglar Lodge was wonderful. The owner's name is Ivan and he is the perfect host. He was very helpful with directions to different places and suggested places of interest for us to see in the area. Ivan made our stay more pleasurable. The food and drinks are great. The staff is attentive and friendly. The rooms... More

Ivan and his wife were incredibly gracious hosts. The food was beyond spectacular and the fact that there are so few rooms makes this quiet get away in San Carlos, Panama the ideal spot. Easy access to all the local breaks and only 30 minutes from El Valle and a host of other neat places to see. I would recommend... More
