We stayed here for 4 nights in February and had a fantastic time. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and Jaya and his wife could not have been more helpful. We went on 2 excellent safaris, organised by Jaya. Food was plentiful and varied. Highly recommended!

Jaya and his wife were very helpful and Jaya's wife,(sorry forgotten name), is an excellent cook. A days safari was a bit long and very bumpy but we did see 2 Leopards and a group of lions. The praying over the loud speakers in the town were very noisy but were only in the morning and evening.

When we asked Jaya the owner if he know anyone who could drive us to Tissa from Colombo airport, we weren't expecting him to do it himself. The owner and his wife welcomed us to their guesthouse. We had a very good, but short stay. the owner organised a great safari for us and followed it with a fantastic breakfast. Highly recommended! The owner was very helpful, and filled us in with lots of local information.

As an experienced traveller I have seen a lot of hostels and hotels.This is one I would not hesitate to recommend. Lovely welcoming owners and the food is amazing-good value and lots of it. Rooms good size and clean. Outside area to sit and listen to the birdsong. Excellent safari tour also.
