Four of us stayed here on our Offas Dyke adventure Our welcome from Linda with a tray of tea and cake put a smile on our faces after 22 miles! Glyn drove us to the Lion Inn and brought us back as this superb farmhouse is right on the trail but just out of town. My room was clean and... More

Four of us stayed with Glyn, Linda and Jack The Jack Russell on our Offas Dyke Walk. Our welcome from Jack dragging a piece of drainpipe down the drive was memorable - putting a smile on our faces after 22 miles! Glyn took us to the Lion Inn and brought us back as the superb farmhouse is out of town.... More

Hello again, and thank you for your kind review, it was great to meet you all, it was just such a shame that the weather was so awful for you whilst you were here. We hope that you will pay us a visit again, the kettle's always on! More

Caemwgal Farmhouse is probably unique amongst bed and breakfast establishments, situated as it is right in the middle of a Civil War battlefield; (The Battle of Montgomery 1644 in case you're interested) However, the place is peaceful enough nowadays, and the three hundred and fifty years old farmhouse has retained many of its original features; a homely and timeless environment... If you're on the Offa's Dyke path near Montgomery we can recommend this B&B. Lovely people, super breakfast, this old farmhouse is a special place. They don't do evening meals but will transport you to the local pub which does there and back.

I always had a single room,...my two girlfriends had a twin that they shared. This room was a bit smallish as they had crammed a 2nd bed in it. I liked the old brick styling of this place...took several pictures outside. Played ball with their friendly jack russell in the early am prior to breakfast. Another made to order lovely... More

Very hospitable. a little way (1m) out of the town, but it didn't matter because we were so well looked after. lovely old building. atmospheric. I would like to go back and read some of the great books they had in library.

Nice room, however I would have to say the single bed was a bit smaller than is good for me. I struggled with the covers and the temp can get very warm in the room. Other than that, the place was a lovely and the breakfast was spot on.

Stayed for just one night while walking Offa's Dyke. Very warm welcome, beautiful room, meal booked at local pub with transport laid on, delicious breakfast. Everything a tired walker can possibly need. Our host was an amazing advert for this beautiful part of Wales - she knew everywhere and everyone - spoke knowledgeably about the local flora and forna and... More

We arrived at Caemwgal quite late to spend one night prior to setting off northwards to complete the Offa's Dyke trail. Everything was perfect right from the start. We had a lovely welcome and a table had been booked for us at the Lion (great food). We returned after the meal to spend a very comfortable night. There were lots... More

We stayed here after a fairly long days walk from just outside Bishops Castle, we were welcomed with open arms and a sense of humour from our hosts Linda and Glen. Although they didn't serve evening meals they had booked us into The Lion and were kind enough to give us a lift there as well! The bedrooms were lovely... More
