Pay for this hotel up front! We were told one price and charged another, when we complained to the owner he simple turned and walked away. The prices were not posted and we were basically laughed at and called liars. Poor quality rooms for the price, with no heat after 10pm on a very cool autumn night. We left extremely... More

Try to avoid this so called hotel!!! The legendary Fawlty Towers was the "Ritz" compared to this dump. Very rude and unfriendly staff with an "Soviet mentality". Breakfast was quite terrible with dry and geriatric bread of former seasons. Room was practically falling apart and it's bathroom even worse. It was constructed with the cheapest materials. The price was completely... More

Zabljak is a rather sad place, at least in springtime. Most hotels and houses seemed to be totally run down and maintenance a thing unknown. Hotel Javor was pleasant, though not very fashionable. Nice one person staff in the evening and very good wholesome, home made food. Good wine. Room was fine, clean and nice and quiet. Abundance of fresh... More

Do you sometimes get a feeling that people who are supposed to help you and welcome you at the hotel are doing it free of charge and consider it as a huge favor? Hospitality represents a huge issue here. The hotel itself is a crappie 'renovated' house, whereby all items and materials used are the cheapest ones that you can... More

After seeing some reviews on trip advisor and the recommendation in Roughguide, we booked at Hotel Javor. When we arrivied, our room was tiny! The walls were paper thin so you could hear everything in the entire hotel. Bedding did not look adequately clean and the bed was extremely soft. Would not stay here again. Coffee with the breakfast tasted... More

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Javor for the first four nights of our honeymoon in Montenegro. Reasonably priced and located 15 minutes from the Black Lake it made a great base to explore Durmitor National Park. The room was of a good size, clean and very warm when the heating came on. The food tasted fantastic and... More

Arrived in Zabljak after a long drive up from the Coast via the Ostrog Monastary - weather was rubbish - cold and cloudy considering it was 31 degrees on the coast. Booked hotel as had good reviews in Rough Guide. Seemed like a nice place Zablijak although probably much better in the sun! Hotel was ok but double room was... More

Although the hotel owner laughed when I said we had a reservation, we were promptly provided with a clean but very small room. However, we were moved into a larger room the next day. Hotel Javor has the atmosphere of a family-run business from the 1970s! Quaint and efficient; a little on the basic side, but comfortable and clean. The... More

The Hotel Javor is friendly, but we found it a little greedy. We were quoted a price for bed and breakfast, but were charged extra for the drinks with breakfast (tea and coffee). On the second day, we informed the hotel the evening before that our teenagers would not have breakfast, but we were still charged for it although their... More

Really more a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel. Just a few rooms there, clean and fairly basic. The staff are really friendly people (although they do not speak very much English), the half board rate is excellent value - see their website for prices - and the food very good. Situated right in the centre of Zabljak, about... More
