This place is off the beaten track(we had to use google maps to find it but it was worth it). The view over Lough Key is spectacular. Karen and Eddie are the best! They recommended a great place to eat and steered us to a great night of Irish/French/American music in a local pub. They have a great menagerie of... More

I spent 8 days and 7 nights at the magical farm called Ballaghboy. Eddie and Karen were the most gracious hosts I have ever encounted. The food was excellent, the view from my bedroom window was breathtaking. The quiet nights held you close for sleeping, and a full and fablous breakfast awaited in the morning. Ballaghboy is a place of... More

A quick thanks to Karen and Eddie who hosted a wonderful "Italian Evening" last weekend with the supremely talented Kitia and Gian. We were only there for the evening but were made to feel like old friends and given a tour around their beautifully converted home. A wonderful experience shared with exceptional people, hope to return before too long.

When we came in the door, we were immediately greeted by hugs, smiles, and welcomes. It was as if we were being welcomed back as long gone family. I immediately felt at home. The next thing that struck me was the incredible view. It took my breath away. Add to that the sumptuous meals, plentiful opportunities for adventure or relaxation,... More

I stayed here with a group of fellow travelers recently and found this to be one of my favorite places. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful and Eddie and Karen and their wonderful daughters were a delight. The whole family not only made us feel welcomed but made us feel like family. Karen spoiled us with wonderful meals (she is... More
