A remote place in nice surrounding. Rooms are decorated in style of Provence and very clean. Better to arrive at daylight as after sunset you will hardly find the gite! A 'bastide' is a fortified building. This one is a converted very old stone farmhouse built in a U shape with outward facing walls having small holes (now mini windows) to shoot from for defence.
