Rooms were London priced but needed work done. Shower over the bath would not stop running all night which was like Chinese water torture. Food was good, staff very polite, service very slow. This olde worlde Inn is a fantastic hidden secret in the Trough of Bowland. The food is absolutely excellent and the bar has a superb stock of drinks - beer, wines, spirits - great choice. The Inn at Whitewell was recommended and we were not disappointed! Fish pie was laden with fish and not packed out with mash potato - not cheap, but certainly value for money. Try and get a table by the window for a great setting.
