It was our second stay here. Fortunately it was cooler than last time and because of that lack of A/C was not that bad. We had the same suite as last time. It was perfectly maintained and so it was as great as before. Everything was spic and span. Self catering is something we like. After having many restaurant dinners it is good to cook something you really fancy. Garage is spic and span too. Nowhere else we have seen as good garage as there. And a private storage attached is very handy. People working there are lovely as is the owner. Thank you Pergola! See you again.

This residence is beautifully located, stylish and perfect for self catering. The only bad thing was that it was absolutely too hot last summer. There is no air conditioning. I'm sure we would go there again if they only had air conditioning. Our room was beautiful. We had a huge terrace and had breakfasts and dinners there. Everything in this residence is created with good taste and it is a work of a famous architect. Service was polite and attentive. The lady of the house is charming.

designed by Matteo Thun, this is a must-stay location for couples like we ! Stayed 3 nights here, the rooms are very nice and the bed very comfty. O.k., the terrace looks nice but privacy is something different to me. The breakfast is really good, fresh fruit-salad and muesli, high quality and very relaxing atmosphere as you have the stunning view towards the valley. Congratulation, we will be back one day for sure (it is our about 10th+ stay in the South Tyrol).

This was a very, very, very good stay. Pergola is high on the hills among apple orchards. It is peaceful (except for traffic noise way down at the bottom of the valley - which must blight every place in Meran) and offers a peaceful, private stay. The photographs on the website and in the brochure are very accurate. The building really is as beautiful as shown. The staff were attentive and (subject to some variation in how well they speak English) very engaged in making sure our stay was perfect. Breakfast was fabulous. Fresh home-made apple juice was a particular treat. All sorts of other lovely things from bircher muesli to fresh raspberries. They even made raspberry sponge roll one day. The pool is nicely designed (although small) and there are two types of sauna available. The room was superb. Huge, comfortable, enough storage space to stay for a month! Very well designed by a thoughtful architect who understands how to use local wood, how to design lighting for subtle even effects, and how to create a relaxing space. The only downside for us was that there is no restaurant so we could not completely relax, having to go elsewhere for lunch and dinner. (There is a little kitchen in the apartment so we could of course prepare our own.) Of all the hotels we visited on our recent road trip, this one stands out as the most surprisingly delightful stay. We would happily travel back to the South Tirol just to stay here, up in the mountains in a beautiful building.…

Great Hotel, quiet Location and a wonderful view above Meran. The suites are very nice, big bathroom and big terrace. Breakfast on the private terrace is great - but not included. You can choose between buffet at the breakfast-room, continental in your rooom oder make it yourself in the little kitchen of the suite. (They deliver fresh bread to your room, if you order it.) For hiking you can just walk out from the Hotel. No car needed. There is a bus to Meran every hour. Very friendly staff. We also liked the vine cellar (self Service!). The indoor pool ist very small.

The building is extremely refreshing in this rather 'Heimatstil' environment - one can do with the minimalist environment. The view is simply stunning right down to Bozen. And it is obvious that Mr. and Mrs. Innerhofer are not just warm-hearted hosts but perfectionists as well: finishes and cleanliness leave nothing to desire! Pity we were a few days too early for the apple blossom season....

We unfortunately just stayed for one night. But we had one of the two villas with an amazing view from the big private terrace. Friendly service, nice breakfast (unfortunately not included in the price). We liked the idea with the 24h wine cellar where you can get wine, prosecco and small snacks when you wanted too. Nice if you get home late and wanna hang on our terrace.

My wife and I try to visit Pergola once a year and indulge in the breathtaking architecture and interior design (by star architect Matteo Thun), the impeccable view from our apartment, the unbeatable privacy this place airs, the warm-hearted hospitality of owner Mrs. Innerhofer and every single person in this place, and one of the best, freshest organic breakfast buffets on this planet. One day at Pergola feels like three holidays. The area of Algund offers a beautiful mixture of pre-alp landscape, austrian/italian culture, amazing wines and food (try Leiter am Waal, steps away from Pergola). The apartments aren't plush - every single piece of furniture or interior has been designed especially for this place and that shows (and feels). The apartments are spacy and all offer breathtaking views of the Etsch valley from a 60 sqm terrace, and the 2 villas on top feature fireplace, 180° views and even more special interior. If you're looking for a place where you feel both left alone and welcome, if you crave nature instead of nightlife, if you appreciate original, local food and wine, I can highly recommend this place. Things you may or may not like: No restaurant (except before-mentioned breakfast), no minibar, no fitness center. The Meran area is a paradise for german senior citizens - not many young, cool people or children - no nightlife unless you accept a 15-20 min drive to close-by Meran, local food is austrian/italian - great, but as a veggie you may find the selection limited.…

Beautiful, modern, cool, comfortable residence in Italy. We had great views, a kitchenette, lovely breakfasts and wonderful walks just above the hotel. The design of the room was beautiful wood, very crisp and modern, and our porch was lovely. Highly recommended. On our way home, flew over the Alps, and could see that out hotel was in the foothills just abutting the mountains. In Merano, also enjoyed the baths designed by the same architect.
