I stopped over on business, having booked the room based on the fact it was near Cambridge, but one of the most reasonably priced on a long list. I don't think, in all my business years, I have ever enjoyed an evening meal, room, and breakfast so much. The room was a delight - decor, en-suite bathroom, lovely and warm,... More

After a day at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford it was lovely to rest our weary heads and feet at this Inn. The room was clean and warm-we had Room 1 and as a previous reviewer has commented I did not like the bathroom/wet room. It felt cold and bland in contrast to the bedroom and i would have... More

Husband and a friend stayed here overnight, when visiting the air museum at duxford. There was a warm welcome, and the room was perfectly satisfactory. The bar was friendly and food was above average bar food. Beds comfortable, and there was little outside noise. Plenty of hot water in the morning, bathroom could do with an update. Would definitely stay... More

We have just been here for a meal for my brother-in-law's 50th birthday. There was 9 of us and we were sat on a lovely long table where we had a corner of the pub to ourselves. This is a lovely pub full of character and lots of aviation history. Douglas Bader used to drink in here. We must have... More

We have been going to this pub, affectionately known to us as “the JB”, for more than 12 years. During that time it has had a few changes of ownership but by and large it has managed to maintain its integrity through that period. We now live in Suffolk but we still drive to the JB for Sunday lunch and... More

My hubby and I have stayed in castles and country house hotels a plenty but can honestly say this place is a real find! We arrived on a cold snowy night to a warm welcome, the pub is charming and full of character. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had the Sunday roast (lamb) which was great quality and... More

Arrived for midweek lunch at the same time as a party of 12. The staff took everything in their stride, apologised for a possible delay....that was not the case....and served everyone very efficiently. Good beers, well looked after, nice wine list and extensive menu from sandwiches (some of the best we have had) to lovely looking steak pies which were... More

I called in here for a bite to eat and a pint when staying in Duxford for work and I have to say the food was very good, especially for the price but would have still been good had it cost more. The beer selection was good and well looked after. As for atmosphere, I have never seen this pub... More

To be honest - I was getting concerned about my booking at this place as the date for our stay approached. I had stayed at the pub before and had been very pleased, but then I read about change of ownership and not so good feedback. Well, I shouldn't have worried! I was greeted by a friendly member of staff... More
