We knew we were in good hands after meeting Patricia. Warm welcome & relaxing conversation. Home cooking was exceptional & the rooms enabled a great nights sleep. So much history near Lougher farm & Patricia will help you see it all with organising discounted tours & suggesting places off the beaten track. More

Excellent, quiet and comfortable B&B in the Boyne Valley. If you want a genuine Irish welcome, good value, comfortable beds, and a good breakfast, this is the place for you. Very close to the historic sites and a good base to visit Dublin area (leave your car at Drogheda station - only 2 euros for the day). We stayed there... More

Great location for Newgrange (but make sure you have directions to find the house, as it is well hidden). Happy with the rooms - not big, but big enough. Great breakfast (enjoyed the flexible system of paying for full Irish only if you wanted it). Patricia was a fine hostess (though she spoke so fast I could hardly understand her,... More

We stayed at Lougher Farm B&B on our first night in Ireland. This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and I am thrilled to report that it was simply perfect! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We sat in the sitting room and drank some tea while reading books about the area. Patricia... More

We stayed here 2 nights with our visit to Newgrange and other ruins on the intervening day. It is up a country road just a few kilometers from Newgrange. The hostess booked our tickets so we did not have to wait in line AND we would be eligible for discounted tickets. The rooms were cozy, and the breakfasts were great--the... More

A super B&B, comfortable and friendly, ideal position for the Boyne valley antiquities. Also offers 20% discount on entry to Newgrange. Though signposted locally, it is well hidden down tiny lanes - best arrive in daylight if you can. Only B&B I know that charges a lower rate if you only want "continental" breakfast - though this was ample and... More

We ended our trip to Ireland at Lougher Farm. What a great place. The room was a bit small, but Annie, the owner made up for that, What a lovely lady; introducing all the guest to each other at the breakfast table and even digging up plants from her garden for me to take home. Annie, hope you enjoy your... More

We spent a week in Ireland and all our Irish B and B hosts were pleasant , but only Patricia took the time to actually talk to us and share her own life with us. Afterall, much of the pleasure of traveling is conversation with the local people. We only regret that we found this genuine, "old Irish" place on... More

Words can't express how thankful we are that Patricia was our host in Ireland. A more gracious, compassionate and thoughtful person you will not find. On our arrival at the B&B, Patricia was generous in offering us a pot of tea or coffee and showed us to our very comfortable room (the yellow one). The beds are very comfortable, the... More

Cute yellow room, beds super comfortable, bathroom small but clean, nice plush towels. Full Irish breakfast outstanding, high quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. Really close to Newgrange. Beautiful property, obviously well taken care of, and lovely host. More
