Güzelyurt is one of the most beautiful places in Turkey but undiscovered by the tourists. It is close to the Ihlara valley and a perfect place to stay over. The Karamanli Konagi is an excellent hotel within walking distance of all attractions in Güzelyurt. The rooms are nicely decorated and have a lot of atmosphere. If you have walked yeh... More

As others have noted, Karamanli is a compound of houses sharing some common space. Meals are buffet-style, and not of quite as high a standard as other places we stayed in Cappadochia. Room was definitely a bit strange: no lighting near the bed. The hotel bar, on the other hand, was for us a lively gathering point for conversations with... More

This hotel is a collection of old village houses based on cave dwellings, and as such the rooms are quite variable. Our rooms were in the "Hittite" section. Mine was quite small, but comfortable, with an amazing view across the valley. Some were much larger, but others had no view at all. The group of rooms was arranged around a... More

Karamanli Konagi, Guerzelyurt We stayed in a number of villages in Cappadocia but Guerzelyurt and Karamanli Konagi were just my favourites of all! Lovely feel to it; time stood still. The rooms with high, arched ceilings are beautiful. The courtyard is very spacious and the terrace offers nice views. Casual but attentive service. Small hotel, therefore only individual travelers, no... More

I'm sure this is the best hotel in the village, but you need to choose your room carefully...The rooms are converted caves which is a great experience; I was travelling with a group, and one couple had a very nicely furnished room with jacuzzi; at the other end of the scale, my room was pretty much still a cave! Very... More

Though our reservation by e-mail was confirmed, it seemed no one was aware of this. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon and – apart from a young lady who was cleaning the rooms – the place was deserted. Anyway, we were surprised that lady could help us in basic English that was interlarded with plenty of OK’s. We... More

We stayed for two nights in September 2011, and after a long journey were welcomed by the lovely Ayfer. As the hotel was not busy, she gave us a choice of rooms. All the rooms have sumptuous furnishings, ours even had cabinets of beautiful Turkish ceramics. A nice touch was a kettle and tea and coffee - not seen in... More
