The food is ok - but steer away from the fish as it is overcooked. The local dishes are good however. Eating indoors is like being I'm a train station - zero atmosphere and bright lights. Could do with even a little background music to soften the space. Service was very friendly but overall it's a bit overpriced for what... More

We stayed at the Auberge during our bicycle trip along the Canal du Midi and immediately fell in love with its setting on the canal. Big plane trees shade the outside dining area and screen the shuttered windows. Our room was spacious and quiet. We slept well. Service was provided with a smile. I can't comment on what the food... We had lunch here on 8 September 12. Our review may be influenced by the ideal weather on the day, cloudless skies and 30 degrees. The restaurant is one of several in Homps right on the banks of the Canal du Midi. It can be reached by car or indeed bike should you ride along the canal from La Redorte,... More

We went here at the weekend. We were regulars but we won't be anymore. The €28 menu isn't cheap and the portions were very small plus the quality has gone down. The fish was overcooked and the rabbit, while tasty, was dry and came in very small portions. It seems that if you order off the menus you get a... More

We had been cycling all day as part of our Trip "Entre deux Mers" between Bordeaux and Montpellier and, as the "old man" of our trio, I was grateful to find this Auberge for our overnight stay. "Le patron" was most welcoming and after showing us our rooms we relaxed in the area between the hotel and the canal over... More

When we arrived on our boat in Homps at 7 p.m.the Tourist Office/Boat House were closed which meant we could not hook up to electricity or water. I didn't fancy anothr evening without a proper shower and the public bathroom in Homps just didn;t so it for me. Tow friends decided to look to see if there was a hotel... More

We spent a very enjoyable Sunday lunch here with friends, setting is perfect sitting out under the trees overlooking the canal du midi. The staff were friendly and relaxed, food was excellent, I am a vegetarian and the parmasean risotto was one of the best I have tasted, we needed the walk after lunch!!! Go there, relax and enjoy

This lovely auberge has great simple rooms and a good location beside the canal du midi. I have eaten and stayed there a number of times. Sadly, the quality of the food and service has gone down. More attention paid to locals, and we were made to wait until they were served, even though we had booked months ago. Dirty... More

good location on the canal side just on the edge of the village with lovely outdoor eating area. Rooms basic but very clean, bathrooms clean and modern. Best thing about the Auberge is the food. Dinner fantastic value for money for the menu of the day. Really high standard regional home cooked food. The creme brûlée is the best we... More

A great relaxing location right on the Canal du Midi, perfect for cyclists (secure bike storage), canal cruisers and tourists or travellers in general. The Auberge provided two very good meals, a clean en suite room and a comfortable bed. Guests can eat outdoors at the side of the canal under the trees watching the passing craft or, if the... More
