I stayed here during by trip to tokyo in April 2013. Getting here the first night was a bit of project when you don't exactly know your way around. Nice quiet area which is however very close to a train station. Excellent customer service. Nice ambience outside and inside. The rooms spotlessly clean, as seems the standard for Japanese hotels. They are on the small side, but that is to be expected for downtown Tokyo.

“Good size for tokyo”

Nice hotel with good size rooms by Japanese standards. Nice touches with a little gym, free use massage chairs on level 3 and pyjamas in your room. Clean rooms with free water. Good location 5minutes walk to the station.

“good value for money in expensive tokyo”

Tokyo is expensive. During festivity, even more. Niwa remain reasonably priced and fit my standards. Small but clean room. Centrally located, 3 stops from tokyo main station. It's my second time here and it's definitely a good choice for a couple trip.
