Clean rooms, helpful staff, and thats it! Usual tea and coffee factilities, a shipped in breakfast can be provided or you can visit the Shell Garage next door. The Little Chef that was next door has gone. This might be ok for the weary businessman just wanting a bed for the night, but our familiies faces fell when we arrived.... More

This Travelodge is ideal for discovering the Yorkshire Wolds and various villages. When I checked in a young lady called Clare was extremely helpful and had good customer care skills. She had given me a nice room with various wildlife outside my window but after that what can I say. The room was very noisy from the people above and... More

This Travelodge has obviously been here a while and has out survived the Little Chef which languishes next door, empty. The service was very good with helpful and cheerful staff. The rooms are ok but a little tired. The tv's are old and don't have a remote control anymore. However the beds are not bad and importantly clean.

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was truly awful. The room was cold and damp and had mould on the inside of the windows. The carpet was worn and threadbare and under the dressing table was all the coffee and tea splatters. The bathroom floor was filthy. The only clean thing was the bed linen,... More

This is obviously one of the older Travelodges as they still use keys to unlock the rooms rather than the swipe cards. We stayed here as we were going to a wedding in Skidby and it was located on the main road on the way to the venue. Didn't notice much about the outside, other than to beware of the... More

We stayed here as were attending a wedding at the nearby Cave Castle Hotel. We stayed two nights (paying £19 each night) and this turned out to be excellent value for money. The rooms were clean, tidy and basic, exactly what you would expect for a Travelodge. The only downside was a very soft bed which gave me some back... More

Warm and comfy room, bed very comfortable, great night sleep. All staff very friendly and helpful. would stay again and would recommend. If you want 5* then pay for it, is my advice. Pity little thief next door had closed down, lots of eateries in Hull and snacks available at petrol station nearby .

The room we were in was ok, needed a new sofa bed, as ours was tatty and old looking. The windows/walls were mouldy and bathroom needed modernising. The shower was pretty lame too! the lady on reception was very helpful....in the end. She did let us check in before 3pm and not extra cost. Breakfast options was misleading when booking... More

I thought this a great little place for the money. Only £27 per night. I was a litle dubious due to some negative feedback I had read. But the room was clean and tidy and comfortable. The staff were really warm and welcoming. Not a place you would go for a long break etc but if you just need a... More

I paid £15 in the Travelodge sale for a Feb Saturday night at South Cave. The hotel was absolutely fine, despite some of the negative comments on Tripadvisor. The room was clean, warm and in good condition, the bed comfortable. It is set back from the road and double-glazed, so there is no traffic noise even in the front rooms.... More
