Last year we popped in for lunch and were impressed then with the food, this time we took advantage of an itison voucher for a night stay and were given room 8 which was spacious, perfect for us and our two dogs. It was clean, fresh, with a massive bathroom!! We opted to eat dinner in the lounge, and again... More

I have stayed at the Strathardle Inn twice this year, both times for skiing. Everything about the hotel was a pleasure, from the friendly and delightful owners and staff, the other guests, the people who lived locally and visited in the evening, to the really nice food and excellent spacious rooms. I'll be going back next year!

Lovely Inn, cosy bar with roaring fire, I had bedroom 4 which was immaculately clean, huge and a lovely large shower room with power shower. Food was delicious I Had a really lovely salmon and prawn meal which was delicious. (the owner is a Michelin chef) waitress was chatty and very nice. Breakfast also yummy. I would recommend this Inn... More

Stayed for one night as was so close to Glenshhee ski area. Booked a family room for four and had our dog with us, which was not a problem (he was also welcomed in the bar). The room was adequate and large it had two seperate bedrooms, but could do with a modern tv and a bit of updating however... More

We stayed five nights, with the aim of climbing some nearby Munros. Great location, good for access to the mountains and to the Glenshee ski area. Great room, spacious and comfortable. Quiet at night for a good sleet. Food was excellent, with good choice and reasonably priced. Hotel staff very welcoming. We will be back.

Nice little Inn , cosy bar with coal fire and a good food menu. We had the venison haunch which is the best I've ever tasted for the main course. Prices for mains were really reasonable, a good size portion along with plenty fresh vegetables . Starters perhaps not as good value. The room we had at the Inn was... More

Only ate here one evening when having a cheapy Groupon break with friends at the Nae Limits Log hotel in Kirkmichael (see separate review). The inn is very quaint and quirky, as is the landlord, not all that friendly but definitely a character. The bar was gorgeous, also full of local character but we were whisked away to the restaurant... More

We stayed for one night as the hotel is only 9 miles from Glenshee so we could go boarding early the next day without travelling for hours. It's a beautiful hotel in an idyllic setting. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble they even put on breakfast earlier for us so we could get... More

We have just returned from a wonderful night away in this inn. The owner allowed us to check in early as the room was available. This was great as we wanted to make the most of our 'mini break' and have a drive around the area. After freshening up, we had a coffee and locally homemade cake at the local community... More
