The hotel was in a quiet location but only a short walk to a few nice restaurants and shops what is not bad to chill out after working all day. The breakfast was great,the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. I would definately stay here again. More

Avoid this hotel at all costs We arrived at this hotel only to be told that our rooms had been "let to walk-ins" even though we had booked with a credit card number and been given a reference number. I was on business in the area and had to find some where to stay overnight. I walked in and greeted my a pleasant young man who showed me a room. Not the Hilton but that was not expected, a traditional old inn, lots of character, quaint, very clean and good food. I would stay again if in the area. More

The hotel is well situated in the middle of the village in a charming rustic building. However, these features are sadly negated by the fact that the customer service from the front of house staff is the worst I have ever experienced in the UK. More

Not a great welcome on arrival. Rooms were basic. No bath in a large bathroom - shower was pretty decent though. Window would not open properly - either had to be wide open or shut. We were asked to pay on arrival and that should have been a warning unfortunately we paid. Just afterwards a guest complained about their room "not being fit for purpose".
