The most spectacular setting - very nice property - a feeling of good times and ancient times are all around - excellent restaurant for dinner and breakfast and a very nice pub/bar area in which one may also dine. More

Had a very enjoyable stay at the Glenfinnan House Hotel. Nice interior and great views over the lake. The food is very good and they had live music at the bar on Thursday night, which was fun. Nice walks in the surroundings. I would come back. More

Stately interior, belting filling food, charming staff, lovely pub/bar, Thursday night ceilidh fun. No TVs, which we enjoyed, and the bathroom was a bit shabby for a £130 a night hotel, but really it's all part of the charm. Bloomin' smashing big log fires around the communal areas too. All with near perfect Highland scenery on the doorstep. More

I called in recently for a meal, which was quite satisfactory in terms of taste & execution, but depressingly over-priced in terms of content - £9 for some pasta, cheese & herbs. This was a £5 meal upgraded, presumably because of the nice views over Loch Shiel, where Prince Charles Edward Louis John Casimir Sylvester Severino Maria Stuart landed in... More

The hotel is in an amazing location right by the Loch Shiel and with views over the monument at Glenfinnan. It is welcoming and has a good ambiance. Our dog was welcomed without fuss and without the huge list of rules that some dog-friendly hotels 'welcome' you with. The bedroom (Jacobite Suite) was huge, with lovely views over the loch.... More

very nice feel as soon as you walk in, because of rather than in spite of the strong polish contingent! Such a shame that the Scottish hotel experience, here as elsewhere, is dominated by non-scots! Nothing against the poles - just the continued terrible reflection on the willingness and ability of the natives to work in the hotel industry. Chef... More

This hotel sits on the shore of Loch Shiel, about 15 miles west of Fort William, on the “Road to the Isles.” Coming from a hotter climate (95F, 35C) we appreciated the local weather (65F, 18C), but I was a bit amazed to find roaring fires in the lobby and dining room. My wife loved them, however. Our room was... More

This was the second time the we've stayed in the Glenfinnan House Hotel. Its location is amazing. It's directly on the lake. We'd a beautiful room with loch view. The hotel is very familial. The service is great. We'd dinner and breakfast there and both were one of the best we'd in Scotland. The hotel is really a well kept... More

I must start by saying that we did not stay at this hotel! My family and I were staying nearby and only had lunch here. I had beef olives, my wife had a venison burger and my daughter had fish and chips. Mine was ok but the burger and fish were both excellent. There was a large party also dining... More

If you had asked me if I would pay £160 a night for a hotel with no room keys, no room service, no tv, no radio, only intermittent internet access, clunky old fashioned bathrooms and lumpy beds, I would have thought you were raving mad. Our outrage lasted a couple of hours while we worked out what the place is... More
