We met the owners and they are really good people. The view and the setting alone are worth the stop. Bar, restaurant, gift shop and hotel all in one without the "touristy feel". Could only give 4 stars because our itineryary didn't allow us to spend the night or eat. We did get a tour of the rooms and I... More

My husband and I got married at Toad Hall this past Tuesday night. We had stayed there before and had a great time and really enjoyed the place. Lydia and Jeff put on a great wedding and the sit down dinner was absolutely fantastic. We love the off beat character of the place and the rooms are all unique and... More

Service was very nice. Peaceful people that love the tourism. They kept the entire place very neat and beautiful. gift shop has a lot of native items with good literature on what's around. And like I said INCREDIBLE FISH TACOS & CEVICHE!

We stayed at Toad Hall a couple of months ago and we loved the place so much hat we are getting married there in a week. Lydia has been great and is doing all the wedding arrangements. This place has access to the lake and the on site birding is unbelievable. The road signs remind me of the old Burma... More

This place had the best view of the lake and all the birds it was beautiful. We met Jeff who treated us like... More

Toad Hall was wonderful. We stayed in the "Cowboy" room where we were treated to a little bird banging to get in every morning. The rooms are decorated in great style and the views of the lake are spectacular. There was a tree that was covered with parrots every morning. The hotel is about 30 minutes from town and is... More

We were driving around Lake Arenal in late February and saw the signs for Toad Hall. We were curious and stopped for a cup of coffee. The view from above the lake is lovely. Jeff showed us around a few of the rooms. It looked like a really fun place to relax, walk down to the lake and stage a... More

We did not stay here, but visited the "gift shop" store on our way from Arenal to Tamarindo after seeing signs every kilometer or so. Reminded me a little of "South of the Border" on I-95. The drive is beautiful and we stopped for coffee - alas the cafe was still brewing their coffee. We grabbed a couple bags of... More

Hi, This is Lydia from Toad Hall. I am so glad you enjoyed our view it is very special! One of the few places left on the lake where the Jungle is still intact and had not been cleared prior to protection, so because of that we have an abundance of Jungle wild life. I am sorry that your experience... More

We had a lot of fun here. We stopped for a few coronas and has some delicious guacamole there too! They also have a trail by the bar so you can walk out into the forest. The gift shop has some cool things but a little overpriced.
