We have just returned home from a fantastic 4 days at Fern Cottage. Never before have we received such a warm welcome. Sue and Pete were the perfect hosts on all accounts. They helped us with information re local restaurants, visitor attractions and travel. Sue's Choccy cookies were the best we had tasted, as was her homemade Granola. The bedroom... More

We are two Australians who have regularly visited and toured the UK for almost 35 years and experienced the good, bad and ugly in accommodation. Fern Cottage is simply the best we have seen. We stayed four nights in the Chamomile room and it is difficult to find any more to say than has been said repeatedly by others except... More

We were welcomed by two amazing people. Sue and Pete are the owners of the Fern Cottage and they made us feel at home right away. The place is wonderful and comfortable to stay in, with both owners not able to do enough for the guest. The rooms are gorgeously designed with a Rustic farmhouse theme and are kept immaculately... Our visit to Fern Cottage was amazing with Sue and Pete being excellent hosts. As soon as we arrived Sue asked would we like tea and scones and while we were unpacking she brought them to our room on a tray with homemade jam and butter, this excellent customer service continued throughout our whole visit to the cottage. On the... More

My husband and I booked this at the last minute and no sooner had I pressed the 'book' button I received a lovely email from Sue giving us directions and lots of information and recommendations of where to eat locally; she would even book the table and taxis! My husband thinks I can be quite picky when staying anywhere and... More

I can honestly say this is the most amazing B&B around. We stayed at Fern cottage for 3 nights whilst we planned on visiting Bath, having read the reviews before going I certainly had high expectations. My boyfriend and I stayed in the Rosemary room and parents in the chamomile room and both were equally fantastic. Every single thing you... More
