Aussie my horse, my husband and I stayed at Twitchen Farm whilst we took part in the Golden Horseshoe Endurance Competition nr Exford. The welcome and local information Jaye provided to me was so helpful. The room was lovely, bed really comfortable nice thick chunky duvet and ensuite was fabulous. Aussie really enjoyed his stay with the lush grass in... More

Thank you for your feedback. It is great good to see people participating in our local events. The Golden Horseshoe is a really special ride and a challenge for all participants, so we are happy that you did so well and that Aussie got his well deserved bit of grass before having to travel home. We were saddle weary having ridden from East Sussex passing Stone Henge and Cheddar Gorge, about 200 miles. We were unfortunate to have chosen the worst weather imaginable with 62 mile an hour wind and heavy downpours. You can imagine our relief when we rode into Twitchen Farm at about 5.30pm to be warmly welcomed by Jaye and Helen. After... More

Booked here for a long weekend - May Bank Holiday 2013. Had a great family break here, us, children and grandchild plus dog, and everyone had a great time. The location is fantastic, a small village on the edge of Exmoor, very close to some great attractions and fantastic beaches. We had 2 rooms and both where plenty big enough.... More

This was our second stay at Twitchen Farm and this stay was as good as the last. The rooms are spacious and immaculate but with a homely feel so that I felt comfortable straight away. I was also very impressed with the attention to detail. We stayed in a double room with an adjoining room for our eight year old... More

Stayed several times here and enjoyed each visit. There is always a warm welcome including from the resident dogs! The farmhouse is beautifully situated with lovely walks all around, ideal for ramblers and dogs. Breakfast is fabulous and the rooms are lovely.

After a long, tedious journey from Swindon (thanks to road works on the M4, M5 and North Devon Link Road), it was delightful to tumble into a warm, confortable room - surrounded by the peace and quiet of the Exmoor countryside. The great thick walls of the farmhouse deaden all noise, so unlike the usual situation in modern hotels and... More

We have managed a couple of walks ourselves in this area recently and have been reminded how absolutely beautiful it is. I think Hoar Oak is one of my favourite places on Exmoor, I am really pleased when a group of walkers manage to explore the longer walks direct from Twitchen Farm. Many thanks for your review. Felt welcome from the second we arrived. Beautiful dogs greated us like family we were shown to our room which was spacious, homely and immaculate. The ensuite was delightful, the bath and shower huge. The bed warm and comfortable, so much so I Definately didn't wish to get up! It was quiet and tranquil with only the sounds of nature.... More

Stayed at Twitchen Farm (Challacombe room) in October. Greeted by the resident dogs Perro and Poacher upon arrival, we met Jaye who showed us to our room and was happy to answer our questions and offer advice about the local area. We tackled one of the farm walks (Tricky in parts, due to recent rain!) and stopped for some liquid... More

We stayed at Twitchen Farm in early October and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was excellently prepared, the rooms comfortable and the whole atmosphere of the place was warm and friendly. We brought our dog and he was also well looked after and accommodated with. All in all, 100% recommended
