Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Although everything is very stylish and extremely well presented, we felt disappointed. SatNav takes you to a different location nowhere near the property. There was no-one there, the shutters to most rooms were closed, no response to the doorbell. We called the number on the booking form they explained we had to visit a separate hotel Le Fruitier to check-in, where they gave us the key card. We insisted they accompany us to the 'hotel' to show us to our room. None of this is mentioned in the booking process, we were the only guests staying there (there are only 3 rooms), we felt very isolated. The 'hotel' is actually 3 rooms on the 1st floor of the building, the owners' main residence. There is no hotel sign on the building, and as there are no hotel staff on the premises, I wouldn't necessarily describe it as a hotel, it's more of an 'Airbnb' type arrangement. The 'Welcome Tray' in our room consisted of 2 Earl Grey tea bags! No coffee, no milk, no water! WiFi is painfully slow at just 0.42 Mbps (described in the Room Directory as 'High-Flow!). The indoor swimming pool was super, along with the sauna and steam room, but doesn't open until 9.30am, so it's not possible to use it if you like to get up early and go out for the day. After our stay, I read quite a few reviews all mentioning these same issues, so it appears that either the owners don't care, or can't be bothered to change the information/instructions on the booking confirmation process. I expect more from a hotel.

This annexe, or bed and breakfast iif you wish, is connected to a standard hotel Le Fruitier 500 meters away downtown. The annexe is situated beautifully uphill with view over the town and nature. Large room with balcony. Breakfast is served in the room. You can dine in the restaurant of the hotel which is frequented by locals. Can firmly recommend.

We booked this hotel as it offered a suite and most importantly cooking facilities so we could provide meals for our fussy 6 year old. Unfortunately, these facilities are ONLY available if you book the ENTIRE place! This was a real shock particularly when we paid over €250 for the night. There was no courtesy tray as advertised - I don't rate 2 tea bags and some instant coffee as a courtesy tray. The decor is neat if a little retro. The additional sleeping is up a step winding stair, pretty but not young child friendly - pic was on website. The pool area is nice though the bottom could do with a clean - just bits down there. Overall an average rating, primarily because the establishment isn't as advertised. Fine for a family with older children but not suitable if you hoped to provide your own meals. Ideally, the website needs to be changed to reflect this as we felt we were misled. I think the plan is for people to eat in their restaurant.
