We had a wonderful time at Podere Vignali, surrounded by nature. Our children loved the walks through the forest to the charming little town of Pari, and the delicious home cooked meals offered by Carlo, who was a great host. The rooms were very cosy with their own fireplace. We would love to return!

We were there mid November 2012 for a 1/2-day cooking class and I have never met any person cooking, or better letting us do the cooking, with such passion and zeal as Giovanna our cooking instructor. The kitchen is also marvelous. The class didn't come cheap but it was worth every penny. If you ever plan to visit Tuscany don't... More

Cooking with Giovanna at Podere Vignali in September of this year was one of the highlights of my trip to Italy. Giovanna could not have been more hospitable, picking me up in the nearby village of Pari and taking me to the beautiful and ancient Podere Vignali. We made Tuscan dishes, learning about the dishes themselves and about local ways... More

We loved this place. It was charming mainly because of the owner, Carlo. He is a delightful, sincere man with character and made our stay wonderful. We ate with him two nights just for the company, but the food was excellent. He has done a marvelous job in renovating a convent with first class fixtures and decor. Our stay here... More

After nearly 2 weeks driving around the whole of Italy searching for a quiet, traditional village and to meet 'real' Italians, we came across Carlos' place on the Agri Toursimo website purely by chance by searching for a small place in southern Tuscany. Thank goodness we found it. Yes, the road from the village to the farm is a track... More
